Dougie D is a member of the Guerilla Maab rap group, which also features Z-Ro and Trae. In this interview with Donnie Houston, he talks about his life growing up on the west in Houston. He also talks about how he met Z-Ro and Trae as well as what happened to Taz. Dougie talks about the various beefs within the group over the years, how he's grown as a person and his future plans. Dougie became friends with me some years ago and I really got to see that dude was serious and don't play! I came across past comments here and there that let me know they really don't know him because if they did, it would change their perspective just like this interview did. I was raised on Guerilla Maab, ABN, SUC. It was all about respect and showing credit where credit is due. This genre isn’t like today with Chicago shooting, robbing and all that. I remember meeting Dougie D and Trae in Austin right around the time they split I guess cuz Ro never showed and when I asked Trae he just said hes not coming but dougie sung all Ro's verses off of the rise album amazingly! Him and Trae very humble guys ... still remember when keep watchin me came on we went crazy. I ended up with a free cd from Trae and on stage Cle'che threw me another! One of my greatest memories!!!

Interesting story about the fall out after the record store meeting. Dude at High Volume was that guy, tho. High Volume and Stickhorse records were the go to spots in the 90s and 00s. I grew up with Taz in Briargate...dude was definitely a grinder. Always wanted to know what he's been up to since all this. Funny how Ro had so many contract issues in the game. According to Dougie D, he flat out rejected the knowledge early on and dudes just moved around from ignorance and foolishness to secure their own path.
