Another fine video, Jon! I especially enjoyed the new scenery and the water crossings. Heading out first thing Saturday morning for the Ozarks myself, looking forward to catching another eclipse. We had one come through here in SE Tennessee back in 2017. I was quite impressed. 5 more work weeks till I call it quits. If I can hold out that long. Keep up the good work!
I too have recently discovered the KLX and its lightweight and backroads versatility. I'm 64 and the lightweight is very welcome to a solo rider. For extra piece of mind, I always carry an Eastbound MotoWinch, whether on the KLX or V-Strom 800. Keep smiling and riding.
Hey John. That was a nice little route. Lots of water crossings. I wonder what that watercrest tastes like? I've heard a lot of people praise the suspension on that KLX. I guess it's a lot more adjustable than the CRF300. Sometimes it's nice to ride those smaller enduros. Not a lot of power, but they're just so light.

Great video! I also purchased 2024 KLX 300 about a month ago. I've been enjoying it very much. You mentioned your preload. I adjusted my preload a bunch. And went up on compression 4 clicks front and back. Then just a few days ago decided that it was a bit to rough. I went down 2 clicks on compression front and back but left the rebound up 4 clicks. It felt much better. All that just to ask you how much do you and your cargo weigh? I'm 225 lbs. Just asking for some reference. I also have the same cargo system.
