You are correct, an exact word for word statement in George Orwell's writings can not be found. Without the attribution to Orwell or anyone else, the statement still correctly sums up the present world IMHO.

I thinkj Steyn is kept in reserve by many people as someone who can fill in at short notice and do a good job. He does that for Fox News in the States as well. For instance, he sometimes appears as a guest on Tucker Carlson's show and sometimes he stands in for Carlson.

I know he’s not everyone’s taste but certain channels shy away from his views because their views won’t listen or engage him in a healthy debate. Politics/views etc., have become too polarising. It’s almost a religious and pathological stance based on virtue signalling instead of common sense. It’s ok to talk about differences.

I was so impressed by Steyn when I watched him first time about 20 years ago. Why a man with all his talent didn't have a top tv slot in one of the big tv channels?

I always think I'm on my own with my anti alarmism, but here I see that there are many others. Thank God for giving so many of us the power to think for ourselves! We do not need immigrants from other cultures, we do not need wokeness but we need our freedom of speech.
Totally sgree with Douglas Murray, I am totally sick of the tree hugger brigade, shouting their misinformed opinions on us all. I voted Conservative and we have a government more left than new Labour under Blair. Its great to be able to see I am not alone in my thoughts. Thank you guys you are a light in the darkness.

I had actually stopped watching GB news because of all the coverage they were giving the extinction rebellion group. My friend said I should watch this Mark guy, and I think he is great. I hope he stays.

Unfortunately The Queen really has to say what she is told to say by the Government in Power. She may well have very different thoughts to hat she is told to say.
