Another interesting one guys 👍. It's interesting to me because the seller of my Suca Audio rebadged as a " Tube Audio Clarity One" Told me a Linear power supply would make No or very little difference to mine, as they had tried it and wasn't worth buying. He also said that they had tested versions of my amp for two years with various other things 🤔 and my version was their best version to date. As I've mentioned before he was also supplying different tubes he recommended for tube rolling on my version. The different tubes made very obvious differences to me and I by no means have golden ears! 😉 my three op- amps fitted are all: AD826AN Jim🏴🙂
Hi Jim. My dad and I found the upgraded supply to make a huge difference. In regards to your op amps, we would say they are upgraded, non stock items, so thats good. Having tried various tubes, can you let us know which designation sounds best to you? Cheers mate.
@@mydadsaysaudio6192 Hi mate, thanks for the reply. In order from worst to best it definitely to my ears was very obvious is: Original supplied Chinese tubes. Bulgarian/ Russian military tubes. Some tubes the seller called "King" tubes. They were all very difficult to read the codes on the tubes. I now have a magnifying glass with LED lights, I can try reading them again and put a video up showing them? One of the "King" tubes blew after a few hours listening, which was a tad annoying, as they were definitely to me the best sounding and the seller wasn't lying, when saying each tube was an upgrade in sound from the one before. Hello John. Just had a quick chat with my dad and he says it would be worthwhile to uograde your Nad pp2 supply. He says the Nad runs off a 15 volt supply, so keep that in mind. Happy hunting!
