Nice, Looks like fun! Next time you shoot one and it is still alive on the ground just pick it up by the head and sling it toward the ground hard but hold onto it's head, it will pop their head off and kill them humanely and save you a shell and have less shot in the breast.

GREAT . I also go to Lancaster on Opening Day . How far away is the quarry from the Walt-mart center . I will like the opportunity to get my grandson and friends to enjoy a day or 2 after all off our busy Life to enjoy the Outdoors.... Keep it safe .....
To all of the haters" you were once, a young eager dipshit too". This is nothing close to what I did on my first dove hunts because my old man took me on them. At least they are hunting. Watch the muzzles and zones of fire for fuk sakes; lead the birds when they are 60 yards out... Buy some 1-1/4oz 1330fps 7,8 or# 9s and you'll get more birds. ;)
I hope young hunters do not watch this and reenact what you guys just did, If you want to run around with a shotgun without the safety on, fine, just don't put it on youtube for young hunters to see. I love to see young hunters, Just do it safely and don't represent it in a bad way. By the way the reason why dove like quarrys is because they have to put a pebble in their gizzard in order to grind down their food.
haha me and my highschool buddies go White wing dove hunting in south texas. Its like this but we sit in a chair more spread out so we don't shoot each other. Looks fun as hell, but becareful not to shoot each other.
he means saftey by shooting at the ground you could hit unwanted things while the bbs still have some juice behind them, for say if you shoot at vertical ducks when the bbs come down on you they dont even tickle.. stay safe guys, and by shootin them while they are landed seems like an easy shot but not fair for the dove for the dove is just chillin same for ducks. when they are flying its differnt i will only shoot landed ducks when there is more than one and i want the rest to fly.
The first segment when you were walking and trying to shake up the corn was what I saw as unsafe. He shot right over your head and the lead was coming towards your head not away. It just looked scattered. People just shooting in all directions and actually looked like y'all were more excited about all the dives and the safety went out the window. I commend you all in taking pride in the sport and for the love of a good time but I think you should have more organization. Pick up birds once shot
This video captures the true spirit of dove hunting. Can't hit shit ?? Who cares. Shooting them on the ground ?? So what. As long as everyone is laughing and having a good time (while being safe), that's what dove hunting is all about. Getting friends together, and enjoying an afternoon of hunting, laughter, and bullshitting the day away. Don't let these idiots try to tell you this isn't "real" dove hunting. Anyone who takes dove hunting too seriously might have a few screws loose anyway
I'm just curious on how many of the doves u were actually able to retrieve! You are supposed to retrieve it right after u hit it! It's damn near impossible to find those birds! You guys should probably take the hunters safety course over again!
Just to settle arguments. Shooting a stationary dove is not illegal but to most sportsman it is frowned upon. It's identical to shooting a swimming duck your "supposed" to get it in the air but it is the hunters choice.

Ya I stalk deer with a bow so definitely not true.. Also it is very unsportsmanlike to shoot a dove on the ground it's illegal in Texas maybe one day y'all damn Yankees will learn to become outdoorsman
I know I'll get hate for this but hear me out, killing an animal which has NO reason to die except for fun I think is in-humane, can someone please explain why you find it okay to kill these animals?

Don't aim when you're wing shooting, y'all were pulling the gun up and aiming way before you shot. When you wing shoot you use hand eye coordination, so shoot with both eyes open and don't think about the shot. And if you're going to take those long shots get a tighter choke and larger shot like 6's,5's, or 4's
Thanks man, if you want to see how we hunt in arkansas come check out my videos,a few kids ran out to get a bird here and there, but i had a serious talk with them shortly after and they know better now. Kids will make mistakes, hell, i make mistakes, but I don't think its awesome or funny.

Idk about where y'all live but in the great state of Texas it is illegal to shoot a dove in a tree or on the ground.. But then again Texas has the best sportsman so it may not be illegal for Yankees up north bc y'all are not good enough to shoot a flying bird
