Dover, 1943 

My mum, aunty, Nan and Grant lived in Dover during the war. I wonder whether I will ever catch a glimpse of them in films like this. It's like looking through a window into their lives for a brief moment. I have nothing but respect for their generations who lived through this experience.

A most valuable record of a desperate time -- through which I myself lived. Have we learnt Teddy's lesson? -- speak softly and carry a big stick, because evil tyrants respect only strength.

Interestingly Dover is much worse today high street looking like a war front. People of a narrow mind. Dover avoid if you can

still not loosing weights with rations , lol. just when one think the sun had cast a long shadow on the union jack, her people rise up with pride, unified and with boundless humor to spare. Who would have guessed, after surving the worse plight of world war, that the demise would not be from the outside but from within ; the self infliction of Brexit, stemming from misplaced sovereignty pride, misguided sense of nationalism and protectionism, could easily be forestalled had the ruling party at the time stepped up to the plate.
