In this video we head off in our motorhome on our 2023 summer European trip from West Wales to Croatia. We show you an overnight motorhome park 2 minutes from the Ferry Terminal in Dover and also board P&O's brand new ship 'Pioneer' which is the first in the world to be designed with a hybrid diesel-electric power plant, making it more environmentally friendly and also a touch of luxury.

It's a really handy park up for the ferry. We love the ferry as we can buy some cheap booze on the way and get a cooked breakfast to set us up for the drive ahead 😀

Ah that wee bit driving to the Dover and the ferries- memories. We took the 2pm Sunday afternoon Dover to Dunkirk(DFDS)....was very quiet and went swiftly through passport control. Nice boat. all nice and fresh paint work and carpets. Lovely comfy seating. Very automated and modern ferry. Hello white cliffs of France....@9:01. Very nice deck. Nice sunrise...Happy travels. 👌🇳🇱🙋‍♀🇳🇿

Thanks, we love crossing on the ferry. We like to get an early ferry to get a good days driving done and then relax and chill 😀

The second P&O hybrid has now arrived, soon to be in service. Seems to me that van owners are ax bad as car drivers when it comes to parking!!

Calais port is very confusing if you are a cyclist returning to the UK. I pasted the Good Moning French boarder control person , I had a gate opened to me to get to the ferry and then got shouted at by UK board farce people that pick up migrants in the channel they said I needed to go a different way . Would have been better and less confusing if I had taken my own boat back to the UK . I am a UK citizen, I absolutely have given up on my own country. It’s a shambles, I should have stayed in France!
