Thank you for this very useful video, I had liquid between the screen and the protection, thanx to you I could easily open the box and see there was liquid everywhere, and clean all of it.
Thank You so much for this video 👍 I have a skew 510 plate making my tanks look slightly crooked. I was hoping the assembly could be wrong. As the 510 seems to not move, I am debating whether to just grind down the higher side or tear down as some dirt maybe is between the plate and it's hollow?
Your the only one I can find who's taken this thing apart, for some reason my 100 has stopped working, it was fine the day before, co e back after work the next day and now it's stopped even with a new battery, it's not responding, any ideas? Should I take it apart just incase to check
Nice mod, but 510 negative on a screw? I hope it will hold well. I've heard people having resistance problems because of this. Thank you for the tear down!!
Man, I know that problem. I do droop my mods (and phones) so I am always a bit scared. Havn't dropped my Odin Mini yet and keeping it in the house to lessen the risk of that happening, it's just too expensive. For out of the house I use an Aefis mini which is truly sturdy! I have dropped that one wuite often but it hold up. It has a huge 510 plate that is screwed on really well.
If the thread part is just hanging loose, but otherwise it is working try and push it back flush. If you can get it flush I would just glue it. I would start with just a couple small drops of super glue. It probably won't hold for too long, maybe a week or two (or longer, sometimes that is all you need), but is easy to remove and clean up (nail polish remove [acetone] or debonder). Assuming that works well, when you need to redo it I would use 5min epoxy. You can get it at any big box store or amazon. The way it is connected is two screws. One you can just unscrew, but the other will have the negative wire soldered to it. I'm going to guess you damaged that area and trying to fix it correctly may not be worth the hassle if a few drops of adhesive will do the job. My plan when I bust it up to bad is to 3D print a new top cap that will take a generic 510 connector, but hopefully that won't be for a long while. First though, and I always recommend this with anything, contact Dovpo. They may fix it for you or send you a new 510 assembled top and you just need to swap out. Will require some minor soldering for the ground, but can do a sloppy job and still be fine.
No. The 250C requires 2-4 cells and the 75C is single cell only. Also, while the screens are the same size, the boards are a bit different in size. If you want a 250C mod look at the Odin 250C. Been meaning to make a teardown video of it also, but it is as well made as the Odin Mini.
I'm just tearing apart mods I own and don't have one of those. If I run across one for cheap I'll be happy to, but, well, vape mail ban may make that difficult. :(
