Milk bottle hinges are one of my favorite tricks I've learned from the dirty hands 😊 this is a excellent way to show how WACO you are for preserving your plane's and i will be using this trick 😉

Thanks Roy! We love passing good info around- why let it go to waste?

That was a great video Steve. Lots of insight for me in this one (mostly because I want this plane). I'm wondering if you know the overall weight the reinforcement is adding to the D. Waco? I've owned D. M12 Pitts and it was really light on its feet, even though I know the Waco is heavier. Dynam is known for the size to weight flying characteristics/flight time. Edit: I've seen you use the HGPE for control surface hinges, this is another bonus. Denise, did you see it?? I don't know how no one else doesn't. Separate the O from W, but I hope you don't 🤣😂🙃.

We have the specs somewhere- I added about 12% weight on this one by WAY over-reinforcing it , so we could make videos of all the rods you MIGHT install- and thanks for commenting!

Will this protect from head-on impact with walls? My fuselage cracked apart in the middle. Poor litte yellow bird... the red one is still perfect!

Wellll…..what’s the wall made of? (Of course, there’s the old “How fast was that fish going when he hit the wall?” joke- you could just substitute “plane”) Actually, reinforced EPO can handle crashes into grass pretty well- so the wall of a sod house, yes!

I hate foam cowls. They should be made from a durable plastic like HDPE or polycarbonate (coke bottle) and be able to be purchased as an individual part.

Totally with you there! But since loads of planes don’t have them, I started doing this (after losing a couple of cowls on reinforced fuselages!)
