ok Solomon I just remember him as a young lad with the Bothy Band I guess like all of us age catches up -and on further reflection he doesn't sound much like Brendan
Great playing, but I must observe that there are 2 tone modalities that traditional music of Ireland and Scotland has seemingly refused to learn from their various pipes, and that is minor key tunes keynoted on the 2nd and 5th notes of the scale. From Scotland, based on the 2nd is "Mist-Covered Mountains" from the Queen Mother's funeral youtube gJZoO1liVY and from Ireland based on the 5th "Knotted Chord" or "Jr. Crehan's Favorite" is youtube H3EfC63J1T8. Catch up to the 19th century tradders.
