NOVA Scale Novelty - Performages weren't the first strategy to care about swarming the field to enable extra deck summons, and they certainly weren't the last. Their quirks surrounding burn effects, largely to themselves, DOES as a fun pinch of spice, basically making it so a PURE version would rarely have to care about the downsides while keeping them generic if you wanted to pay the price, but the price was generally so small that it didn't stop people from doing it anyway! Basically, cool concept, still spamming. 2/5 Objectivity - The funny thing is that Performages are, by themselves, not really oppressive. If anything, they're really good at raising the ceiling of any compatible deck, not imposing any locks while giving you access to many extra deck cards, a feature that's only gotten better with the introduction of Link monsters. It could be said that they're TOO good at doing that, but if that were the case, it would be seeing play well into today's environment, and the odd Trick Clown splash in big mill decks hardly qualifies. Maybe this will change with the new update, but for now, I think these cards are just Fine. 5/5 Versatility - I think we've actually touched on this in the previous two sections: Almost any deck can use these to prop up the game plan they're already working towards, coving for a variety of situations. Discard, milling, Rank 4 access, Link Climbing, you name it and the mages can do it. Heck, with the introduction of Water Dancer, we now have a way to search AND recycle Polymerization in pendulum decks, adding a whole new angle to ones looking to fusion summon. They may not be the most powerful engine option, but they are the most malleable. 4/5 Awesomeness - These new cards are so sick, and honestly, I miss playing with the old ones! The Animation Chronicles cards feels like the perfect extension of the theme's goals, letting you combo off without a care in the world, WHILE embracing the burn damage aspect that was honestly their only real unique property. 5/5 Total: 16/20 Thanks for reading! When i watched Arc V for the first time with knowledge of the Performage monsters, i thought they would be Yuya's Dad's deck, and with Dennis looking up to Yusho i was certain he'd be revealed to have copied Yusho's deck. I wish Dennis vs Yusho was a full duel and not 1 turn and then Yusho ran away

That Wavering Eyes rant gave me an idea. Nova, have you considered shorts covering the shorter card storylines? The story around Risebell the Star Adjuster would be perfect for that.

Hey GoldenNova I have a question for you that might be a good idea for a video. In the game of Yu-Gi-Oh; which extra deck type monster is the most useful, versatile, and powerful in general? Fusions, Synchros, Xyzs, Links. I guess also Rituals as they are kind of like Extra deck monsters in away. I've always wondered about this when I was talking to a friend who primarily uses Synchro extra deck monsters, while I like to use mostly Fusions & Xyzs.

perfomage was the most powerful pendulum archetype in all of the yu gi oh history. it was so versatile that they even without all his cards adapted at time until the deck was dead.

Not done with the video yet, but honestly, I wouldn’t mind seeing that wavering eyes rant. Mostly because you have an excuse to play the clip of Joseph and Alex history of Yu-Gi-Oh where Joseph proceeded to top deck wavering eyes while screaming. I drew wavering eyes!

I despise the circus especially ones with animals in it for the amount of animal abuse in traditional circuses are high and I personally believe that Wild born animals belong in the wild not imprisoned not abused for entertainment and especially not massacred on mass which is also why I despise Yuya’s perfomapal deck slightly more than Dennis’s performage deck since Dennis’s deck has more human circus arts than animal acts unlike Yuya’s deck which has both animals and humans and I’m more okay with Circuses without animals than with animals even though I still don’t like circuses
