This song is simply amazing. I guess that this lyrics tells the story of someone who's depressed with his life (in spite of being young) and find the solution in the suicide. But, at the time he's drowning, he notices that it's not what would solve his problems and starts thinking about the life and how good is being alive. This narrative and the way it's told are brilliant, worthy of a Ben Caplan lyrics!
I just love this song so much. It popped up and I was like, "oooh, this sounds nice." But, I had already liked it! I heard it for the first time today.
I love this. I found your acoustic years ago in my "psychosis or spiritual awakening era" and rode this song like a river to the sea. Hearing this is profound for me. It's echoing the sublimation and refound rhythm of my brain. Thank you 🙏 Delusions are numberless and I vow to see through them all. Music is so powerful, I've never met you but you're part of my souls song now.
It's been a long time since Aquarius, I stumbled upon your music while ago been, your voice is utterly amazing, I've been sharing this song with everyone I know. Keep going "Leroy the boxer" :P From "Principal Clark" (i think that was my characters name for Footloose )
I went down to the river Blowing out onto the sea On my way to the ocean Let the spirit swallow me I got low down in the water I let the current guide my bones I got 9 kinds of trouble I'm just trying to find my way home Oh 20 some years of living And a thousand wasted days I have loved a lot of women Many times I've gone wrong ways And I came down to the water A dip to cleanse my soul They keep telling me that I'm just a babe But baby why do I feel so old This is the verge of a breakthrough It's a fine line that cannot be bent And I felt like a river ran dry But I don't know where all the rainwater went And I believe that we are all dead or dying But I see different in the blue light There is no such thing as a dawn or dusk It's daylight until it is not You gotta against the dimming You gotta run to the west You gotta rage against the dying of the light Live for the moment that's left You gotta fight against your demons You gotta run to the west You gotta rage against the dying of the light Live for the moment that's left Cause there is no such thing as a dying man We are alive till the moment we're dead A dying man is just a living man Who hasn't run out of his last bit of breath I went down to the river Blowing out onto the sea On my way to the ocean Let the spirit swallow me I got low down in the water I let the current guide my bones I got 9 kinds of trouble I'm just trying to find my way home Find my way home Find my way home Find my way home

Basically we are all alone at the centre of a pickaxe mine Black lung stings as the pickaxe swings And the void of the mine closes in The Devil came and the angels sang The song of the Holy Ghost Tempted the soul from the pennies to the gold Like the dust I spit from my mouth Whoa-oa-oh-oh-oh-oa, whoa-oh-oh-oh-oa Whoa-oa-oh-oh-oh-oa, whoa-oh-oh-oh-oa Remember the night with the barroom fight Where I killed all of my best friends We gambled it away with the whiskey open keg And we never saw it again Well, I had a wife that I met back in high school Her name was Lyla-Jean We saved away to escape some place On a local miner's minor pay Whoa-oa-oh-oh-oh-oa, whoa-oh-oh-oh-oa Whoa-oa-oh-oh-oh-oa, whoa-oh-oh-oh-oa We saved so long the fall came and gone At least 27 times It fell through the floorboards into deep dark darkness And we never saw it again West Virginia's home and that's where we're staying To the blade of the Bible hymn Jesus says we're wicked so we just keep on pickin' At the scab of the open mine Whoa-oa-oh-oh-oh-oa, whoa-oh-oh-oh-oa Whoa-oa-oh-oh-oh-oa, whoa-oh-oh-oh-oa Whoa-oa-oh-oh-oh-oa, whoa-oh-oh-oh-oa Whoa-oa-oh-oh-oh-oa, whoa
