@@apollotoaster5048 Yes, it's explained. They are basically internal security vehicles. Real ' battle taxis ' are built round a V-shaped hull, not a commercial frame.
@@apollotoaster5048to me this looks more like a failed attempt to tow the vehicle than anything else. Also this is one out of 200, after several months if abuse and poor maintanance. This is clickbait
They weld heavy steel plate armor to a stock Ford truck and for got or did not upgrade the suspension system to handle the heavy weight of the new armored …🤔
What everyone needs to understand is that vehicles do break down in combat and need to be repaired and maintained. Even an Abrams tank needs it maintainance.
Conflict in Ukraine is basically a free advertisement for weapon manufacturer. He sent 200 free armored vehicles expecting free advertisement, instead of that he's getting ridiculed
Well, it's a Ford f-550 chassis, which is not Rochel's product, and, yes, equipment can fail, formany reasons...if this *ONE* out of 200, maybe Ukraine is thankful for the other 199!
Even if this incident is a bad ad for this vehicle, it is maybe an isolated one! It is hard to do a conclusion about the quality of this vehicle only on this video.
Sorry. Just learned that it is not designed for heavy off-road work or frontline. If so, it is understandable if it broke because it was doing something over its limits.
Nope, that's not gonna work as an excuse. The video says the Roshel APC is made "using the bare chassis" of a FORD F-550. I've seen BASE MODEL F-150's be tougher than this APC on a muddy road. It's crap.
Yes, I think you are right. Chassis is loaded by armor and meant for protection against shrapnel, not direct hits. Secondly, it is not an all terrain vehicle. heavy armor and mud will break its suspension. Grateful to Canada 🇨🇦 for helping Ukraine! 🇺🇦
It looks like they simply "dragged the thing to death." It got bogged down in hte mud so they threw that steel cable to it and towed it with the tank and as the wheels got even more mired in the thick mud they just kept pulling. Something had to give and the suspension collapsed. Then they unhitched the tow cable, you can see it on the ground, to make the video. You can also see the fenders are kinked, which wouldn't happen if the suspension just failed, they wrenched it hard towing it. Doesn't mean Canadian stuff isn't crap, but it's chassis is built Ford tough.
good analysis, and this is probably what will happen in Ukraine since the vehicles are given and are free and Ukrainians will not really treasure these "gifts"
@@johnwhite9562 "The Ford shitheap." I have owned four. The one I am driving now, they parked in my driveway for me, while I was at work. Then later, after I had switched over, they came and picked up my '98 F150. Since that day almost exactly five years ago, I have changed the coil packs twice, the oil five times. I am a carpenter and my hand delivered second hand 2014 F150 serves me very well. I think you are either too rough, too coarse, or too unlucky to have gotten the lemon. Based on your language and grammar, I'll put my money on #2, shitheap.
On the plus side if its off the shelf Ford then parts and the skills needed to fit them should be easy and fast to source, i guess sometimes in the real world 'imperfect but available and quick to fix' beats 'ideal but not enough'.
So a non military truck running gear overloaded with an armored body failed on possibly some of the roughest roads in Europe???? WHAAA HOW COULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED ???!!!??
@@mrphucyoo8281 well, i believe the designers thought about that. It's one vehicle out of 200, after months of abuse and poor maintanance. If it wasn't a towing fail.
@@T.efpunkt your just guessing thats what happened,id say the whole thing is to heavy for the task they used it for, maybe ok drivimg round and dragging "recruits" in after you have beat them into submission etc on city streets and hard packed dirt roads, police work etc no use for going through hedgerows and muddy fields etc like you would expect a decent military vehicle to do.
Calling it an APC is pretty generous. It's an armored truck. Not surprising that one broke down after possibly months of heavy use on unpaved roads. When there's evidence of piles of them all breaking down in the same way all at the same time, then it's an issue. Right now, this is a giant, manufactured nothing-burger made to be clickbait and rile up the anti-Trudeau/pro-Putin crowd. Sad.
"anti-trudo crowd" so you mean like 99.99999999% of the population of the earth, excluding maybe trudo himself and possibly maybe his own momma if she's feeling nice that day?
It has adequate protection to ferry people in the rear tho. Better to have STANAG 4569 AEP 55 Vol.2 level 2 for ballistic protection, and blast protection of STANAG 4569 AEP 55 Vol.2 level 2a/2b than nothing.
Lol, can You imagine news inform public that they are sending those vehicles to the ukriane while 100s of 1000s consumers are waiting to get them in Canada lmao. And common now, if they were to send just vehicles that You mentioned, nobody would make any money. But this genius takes a 100k f550 dumps 50k into it and calls it 500k vehicle:) ya kno what im saaaaaiiiiin
It's an armored utility vehicle, not meant to go offroad. Onba side note, that it was mud is pure speculation. Towing a vehicle can also lead to such failiures
@@T.efpunkt what sort of armored vehicles are not meant to go off-road? You think war is a joke? Lmao APC stands for Armored Personnel Carrier, not armored utility vehicle. This tin can was meant to carry troops. 😂
Calm down. It's basically a Ford F550 with a new and heavier body. These vehicles are being used and abused to their max. Even vehicles with heavy duty military grade equipment breaks.
@@wolfvale7863 I don't make shit up sunshine it was a whole battle that started with a smart remark of what the quality the vehicles would be then expanded to quality of chinese made goods. Sounds like you need to find something positive to do with your spare time.
@@wolfvale7863 yep they did. The nafo copebots love to mock Russian and Chinese equipment, even to the point of sounding krazy. "They use shovels and rusty AKs" "the T90 pops turrets like the T72" "Russian drones don't work in cold weather or rain" its so infuriating when you think back on it. And people believed this shxt! 😅
40-60 ton tracked vehicle with momentum easily clears a trench,. but the 8 ton 4 wheel vehicle it's towing doesn't and comes to a sudden complete stop. WTF does anyone think is going to happen? When an APC runs out of fuel in an active combat zone, do the tankers tell them "Hold on, back in 20!", or do they drag them the hell out?
One car disabled out of couple of hundred doesn't mean it is unable to serve it's purpose. They are providing adequate support to the Ukrainian that's for sure.
It's a counter insurgency vehicle, it's adequate for terrorizing civilians, especially Canadians, but it's not built to withstand heavy machine gun fire, let alone missiles, so it should never have been used as a frontline vehicle.
So the chassis and running gear is Ford? Explains a lot. Recent Ford trucks seem to have very flimsy axles - seen video of them breaking. I doubt they would stand up to harsh uses with a heavy body.
My 2021 F350 is just fine,no issues right now but we will see what happens in the future,by the way this is not a Mall Queen, I really drive this truck HARD.
looks like it was pulled out of the mud by much bigger vehicle and something broken getting violently dragged out, seen the same happen to trucks getting pulled out of mud.
After months of hard wartime driving conditions. There winter and mud seasons. Exactly how many of the 200 Senator APC have broken down? Seem like clickbait if is only a few that broken.
Came with a warranty. Give the Ukraine fix it group a paper clip screwdriver and pocket knife and stand back. Never in my life have i seen such ingenuity.
Mocking is easy, but there were no real facts presented. What broke and why? It looks, as if the steering knuckles broke. 2 possibilities: 1. They weren't reinforced and are potentially to weak to bear the on top weight of the armour in heavy duty use. 2. There was something else (an explosive or mine) that overstretched the stability of the structure. The first would be a constructional issue, the second: It's war. No reason to mock about. Some weaknesses of fighting vehicles appear only in real use under extremest conditions. The manufacturer now surely knows, if there is an issue, he has to take care of or to improve on the delivered ones. Regards Th. Krapf
What are you trying to imply here? No explanation of what actually happened, no context? It's a light truck designed for light tactical support, transport and logistics. It's based on the Ford 550, upgraded with additional armor. It's not designed for frontline service.
Do the ukrainian soldiers know how and where to properly use these vehicles even? It's not a very good thing to insult your allies who are providing you with free war materials and vehicles.
Not only that, but notice in the video there is a wire rope tow line with what looks like a tracked armoured vehicle. This implies to me the truck may gotten stuck and was towed out by the armoured vehicle, perhaps not being hooked up to the correct points and of just being yanked out as opposed to being eased out. Also what is not explained is how the truck came to be like this. Is this a case like aircraft where the first response is it's always pilot error? So was the driver trying to jump the vehicle and landed on something? Drive badly or beyond the limit of any type of vehicle and damage will happen.
@@Mestari1Gaming well my comment was more directed at the channel, don't think the Ukrainians are at fault. It's the channel that's implying that there's something wrong with the vehicle.
It's not a first line combat vehicle but rather a support vehicle. Anyway, if they dont like them they can send them back, no reimbursment since they were free in the first place, paid for by Canadian taxpayers.
Lmao. A Russian Jewish person in Canada gets Canadian government to pay for stripped down versions of vehicles with good reputation to the ukriane..... Lmao, this is absolutely genius
They're actually not even near the first line of defense, they're having trouble even getting through the outposts and they're losing piles of men. By the time they get to the actual defenses, they'll have no men and no vehicles left. The only thing getting smashed is the Ukrainians. You know, when you see the Russians recreating the Battle of Kursk, in rather similar terrain, it's time to cal off the attack. The Germans kept pouring troops and tanks into Kursk and lost them, the Ukrainians are doing the same. May they rest in peace.
Towing can also cause such damage, if not done correctly. Also "withstanding mine" doesn't mean it's still fully functional after such a blow, it just means it can protect the crew from the explosion.
These are obviously not front line tactical vehicles nor were they ever meant to be. They are invaluable in providing some semblance of protection for logistical supply and medivac. Does anyone know the actual background to this incident? They are not going to serve the Ukrainian Military for the next 10 years. If they last 50,000 km or even less they probably will have done their job.
Am canadien! Those are great What about we just keep them ! And never mind Ukraine Don’t bite the hand that help you ! Silence 🤫 Ukraine say Respect what country give
Everything Canadians makes is made with integrity. War can create situations that cannot be overcome by anything. I truly believe in all likelihood this is proclaimed by Russia or the United States. Neither of which deal well with others accomplishments.
Troll factory is already full active! Luckily the Russian army isn’t nearly as efficient as the trolls, otherwise Russia would already be in Germany. Would the troll factory be as effective as the Russian army, they would struggle to make an account.

This is not a surprise. No one treats Canada seriously as a military power. They are all talk. If Canada is not an ally of the US, any country in the world could easily invade it in a week, at most.😂😂
Most people would have a hard time driving from coast to coast in Canada in a week. As for any country in the world, I pick Belize, as it wouldn't be fair to require it be a nation with a large navy. Go ahead and tell us how Belize would defeat the entire country of Canada in one week.
@@trudycolborne2371 Driving coast to coast in Canada in a week for most people has never happend let alone for canadians, your talking about a 5000 mile travel distance. I don't understand how one damaged armoured car has every one so worked up, the fact this is happening for the first time since November 2022 is testament to how good and effective the Rochel has been for the Ukrainian Army
Looks like it hit some sort of crater..perhaps heavy mud who knows for sure. It's a little embarrassing to see but this sort of thing does happen It's repairable..so fix it and get on with it.
Just because 1 vehicle is damaged doesn't mean the rest are carp, we don't know what happened so stop making assumptions. russia is slowly losing this war anyway.
“Mud” does break the entire front axel, or at least doesnt make the tires flat and spread to an outward 45 degrees* it either had a defect when shipped, or those soldier were trying to take it somewhere is wasnt designed go

I was in the Marines for 5 years. At any given week is see maybe 2 things broken in a way i had not previously thought possible. And as much as i dislike Canada as a nation, i still think they make good military vehicles for the most part.
This is how it all went down. Honestly So 90 mil were given for 200 vehicles. Half was stole right away, so 45 mil left. Then they had to create an organized that would be responsible for hiring the ukrianian refugees in GTA area to get this job. Half was stolen right away by the organization 22.5 mil left Then they had to create an organization that would control the organization that is responsible for hiring the ukrianian refugees, Half stolen again so 11 mil left Then they went to Ford to buy the chassis..... After giving 1 mil bribe to someone at Quality control at Ford plant, in order for him to him to absolutely coincidentally write off 200 of F550 chassis and Ford could sell them for an amazing bargain so 10 mil left 200 chassis at realistically say 50k a pop.....guess what, works out to be precisely 10 million dollars. And if you have paid close attention to my calculations, I have rounded off a number once by about 500k, well......the ukrianian refugee employees have to be paid
Regardless of this circumstance, NATO members have much to gain by live combat testing of their military equipment. It’s better to know what does and doesn’t work during a time before WW III.
Actually, there is no maple tree present. Amerikan steel and Chinese plastic all put together by canadian people and directed by Russian Jewish individual.:))
These are light suport vehicles, fully armoured vehicles which are built from the ground will cost at least 4 times the amount of these. The British Foxhound costs around £780,000 each, the only way to make them cheaper is to build them on a much bigger scale.
This APC is clearly built to look like it has an off-road capability, especially as we see the front tyres are given plenty of attack height. Looking up the F550, and assuming it's the 4x4 version, the front axle should be a Dana 60, which is good and reliable - for a light truck. Add a few tons of armour, and it won't be up for the job. A look at some pics of this APC doesn't even seem to show a Dana axle. If it's not for off-road use, it shouldn't give the false impression that it is. Can't blame the driver for not realising...
Lol. So he thinks blaming the mud is better than blaming a missile ? 😂😂😂. You dont even need a missile to take this shit out 😂😂😂. Hurry, go order some of these 😂😂😂
CRUX is a Russian/Chinese mouthpiece. The original Roshnels sent to Ukraine were not mine resistant, but they were BRAND new. If fact those Senators were made by Ukranians refugees working for the company in Canada. Ukranians asked Roshnel to make a mine resistant version of the senator, it's not passed all the NATO inpspections and I think it's heading to UKR soon.
The comments are way out too lunch. This was a standard Senator, which means it was not design for this type of activity. The new MRAP versions are much betters. Solid vehicle 10/10.
What do you expect? It's Canadian, one of the only so-called industrialized nations that can't even design and build its own tanks and other heavy equipment.
