Tysm for this tutorial, it still works! The only thing you need to do differently is get beat Saber 1.19.1 I believe. I was stuck since yesterday and couldn't figure out how to downgrade my beatsaber using my phone but this worked great! Just make sure the original beat saber is uninstalled before (I missed this part in the video but saw your comment)

for people who have beat saber on pc by oculus app? I only see for steam or within the meta quest 2 but not for the app that is used for oculus on the pc, do you have video for that?

Hi rose, thanks for the video it helped me a lot and I managed to mod the headset finally! However now that I’ve done this, my green screen with Liv isn’t working. Is there a way to do this now? I’m getting an error with LIV now… :(

are you using a pc to run LIV with steam? you might be better off modding with mod assistant if you have a computer available to do so it's much easier and there's more mods as well. I'm assuming you have a pc and run steam vr to use LIV so I'd highly recommend modding with mod assistant. if you'd like join my discord server and send me a DM we can chat moe about this method discord.gg/xorosegold

@@XoRoseGold oh thanks so much rose!!! I just accepted the invite. I will message you later today. I tried pc. Got mod assistant etc But Something is wrong with my connection. I lost all my games and scores and everything. Spent over 7hrs. Got everything back. But minimal songs now and maps. Everything was going fine except for some reason steam VR will not connect to my headset. But sidequest and bmbf is connected. It’s the only issue I have and can’t get past! I get a weird warning on LIV and can’t calibrate . I went to bed annoyed. Lol

LOL its not just you, modding can get a little confusing sometimes and people have different issues. When I made this video, everything was up to date and the methods should still apply even if the version numbers have slightly changes.

I have this problem from where I get to the step where the app downloads. When I do it the download finishes instantly and when u check if my beat saber is on the previous version it isn't so I'm confused at that part

is bugjager showing connected to your headset? and did you allow all the perms in your headset? also I big modding issue is having file/account sharing on this needs to be off

The USB connection to some Android devices can be a bit flaky. Not always my fault. Working on it. The USB/authorisation popups are usually only a problem during initial connections. After that, you shouldn't have that many issues. Many USB cables/connectors can also cause issues (especially when they were already used for some time), so I recommend to not move the devices around too much if you have connection issues. If two Android apps (Bugjaeger and Sidequest) are targeting the same USB device (ADB device), the system will show pop up to let you choose which one (or default). That's a restriction I can't do much about. Additionally, enabling developer options & USB debugging on host device (where you have Bugjaeger installed) is useful, but usually not necessary. Only target (Oculus) should require that. Thanks a lot for the video. I really liked it.

So when I tried to install the file in bug jager, it kept saying the package install was a failure. Anyone else have this issue and if so how do you deal with it?

are you showing connected in the bug jager app? if so, try and re download the apk and make sure its the correct version(1.17.1) also make sure beat saber is uninstalled in your headset before loading the apk. let me know if this works :)

The game won’t pop up or the allow window? If it’s the allow window go into settings and under developer toggle “USB connections” Off then back on and you should get the pop up

If core mods aren’t being found you’re probably not downgraded. Launch beat saber and look at your feet in the menu to confirm what version you’re on

How do I then add custom beat sabers via phone also? Everytime I check vids for this it’s pc mode. But if I’ve modded via android, can I not continue to add mods this way? The sabers I’m stuck on. I want trick saber. Been able to follow everything else 🙌🏼

So trick saber is on BMBF so you can download that one for sure. On the note of custom sabers... I'm going to have to look into this and get back to you. If I figure it out I'll make a video! if not I will let you know what I find out :D

go into your headset settings and under developer turn USB connections off then back on then plug in to your phone and allow access. that should fix it

I cant download any mods, doesnt matter wich version of Beat Saber i use. BMBF only tell me which Mods are available in 1.20 and there´re only those 6 Core Mods listed!? ;(

use oculusdb.rui2015.me/ instead or if you're downgrading to 1.24 (most mods are up to date) use www.questboard.xyz/ and click on how to at the top scroll down and the 1.24 downgrade is right there. make sure you're logged into your oculus account in another tab! hope this helps!

Great video, all was working perfectly.... Until stupidly deleted BeatSaber a second time, just before I loaded up BMBF. (Not sure why I did it, it was 2am and wasn't thinking straight lol) Anyway, when I try to re-install the APK file from Bugjaeger it now fails. Any ideas what I can do to remedy this please?

make sure you're showing connected on the app (it's a bit tricky) and that you allowed all the perms in the headset

they just took the site down.... here try this "UPDATE the "computerelite" site we get the apk from has been taken down NEW way oculusdb.rui2015.me/ type Beat Saber in search > choose Beat Saber Quest 1/ Quest 2 > click details on the right > scroll down select versions > download apk 1.17.1"

It's a bit more complicated to load mods now unfortunately but if you follow the steps in my pc mod video with your phone you should be able to load your mods. the video is for 1.24 but as long as you select 1.25.1 mods it won't matter the process is the same. I can’t get Sidequest to connect to Quest :( I give the permissions on my phone and then on Quest but the prompt screen stays on my phone saying that I might have to give permission on the headset

I had to go back and forth a few times to get my to connect. I even had to un plug and re plug to get the prompt again and approve multiple times in the headset. you may just need to mess around a bit like I did

I did everything in the video and even downloaded a bunch of songs and playlists. But when I go into the game, the play area is kinda down and to my left. I can't figure out how to get it back to center. I tried playing a song with this positioning and it's nearly impossible. How do I fix this?

have you tried resetting your guardian ? the mods shouldn't have anything to do with your game height or positioning. Also is it only when you launch beat saber that the height is messed up? if so, look at your player height settings and maybe click it on and off. let me know if this works!

it says that cause it's technically mods made by community members. I've never heard of it harming a device tho. worst case senario you just revert the game back to default which is as simple as updating the game and or uninstalling and re installing

Yea bmbf doesn't show up for me anywhere and I've had beat saber modded before. Iv tried remodding this about 23x and bmbf never shows up. I downgraded beat saber to 1.17.0 ( sorry didn't mean to ramble just annoyed smh)

If youre logged into your oculus account that you purchased beat saber on, in another tab, when you go to download the APK for the older version, it should work. Follow this video step for step and you shouldnt have any problems

you have to have a cable to plug your phone into your headset. but since the 1.20 update theres a new way to load the mods. Put the VR on and go into the headset settings and under “developer” toggle USB connections off and back on. Make sure you allow permission in the headset again when you plug it in. It should pop up after that. Might have to plug and unplug a few times like I did. Hope this helps!

yes! 1.25.1 has all of those. you can check the list of mods for each version by going to questmodding.com and clicking on the "released mods" tab and clicking through the versions

The most common issue with BMBF not appearing is having account sharing / file sharing enabled on the quest.

so you hit play on a song and then beat saber crashes or what? have you tried a different song? it could be that you're trying to play a map that has a noodle requirement and unfortunately noodles mod isn't currently out on BMBF

for an Iphone? the only reason it doesn't work for Iphone is because the sidequest app isn't on the apple store. Or did you mean an adapter for something else?

idk why but bmbf never installs correctly for me atleast, can anyone help?

are you downgraded? you need to be on 1.17.1 you can check by looking at your feet in the game menu. if thats not the issue maybe give my some more details so I can help you troubleshoot

@@XoRoseGold thank you for the info, I have just found out that it was something wrong with side quest tho I am not sure what exactly. I just used bugjaeger instead for bmbf and it worked perfectly. i hope that helps you incase others have the same problem. btw imma sub rn

@@XoRoseGold when i download bmbf to oculus is just stays at 100% but doesnt download. And when I Press cancel it says installing but it just doesnt install, also im on 1.17.1, do you have any tips?

So.. I dont believe the cable to be the issue, its the fact that sidequest app doesnt seem to exist for the iOS, unless you found a way around this? Please let me know if you have!!

Everytime I click download on the up to date version bmbf wants that being 1.20.0 it brings me to a page that doesn't work

dang sorry to hear that. honestly I haven't modded with a phone recently and they have updated a lot of stuff so I don't think I can be much help. Buy a cheap android. That’s what I Did. You can still green screen with the iPhone. Mod with the android. Was the answer to all my problems! I found modding so much easier with this tutorial!

@@Zynteglo nope 👎🏼 it didnt work for me. I have a Samsung galaxy tab. Won’t download bugjaeger or sidequest. Not available for old devices. Unfortunately.
