I think the newer halogen bulbs give a better light because they have a very tight light source. LEDs will turn on quicker but they don’t have such a concentrated light source, so they don’t produce a tightly focused light beam. That’s how I understand it. These H7 LEDs which are not forced cooling lose their brightness when hot (after 10 ~ 15 minutes). In addition, their lifespan is not what is announced, far from it. The place where the LEDs are located is not exactly the same place as the H7 halogen filament, so this is not optically correct. From a legal point of view: the headlight is approved with its luninous source (halogen), when the source is changed by another type (LED or xenon) the headlight does not correspond to its approval and can no longer be used on the public highway.
