That was a nice little section... Wish Colorado was closer. Ive been about 8 times, but always during the winter. Would love to make a summer trip with the hardtail.

@Toresha777 True except from my experience, this video makes what he's doing small. I have done 8 foot drops that you can barely see on my helmet cam, so what he's doing must be pretty big. Bigger than it looks! All the more props to him because you can see some big drops in this!

This is awesome, next time I'm visiting in CO I'll have to hit this place up. The rough bit at 1:06 looks a bit painful, I remember when I was at Whistler the times when I almost lost control of my bike the most was when going way too fast for my poor ol' Manitou Metal R to keep up with and it would nearly shake my hands off the bars (most often on A-line late summer) Thanks for the upload, this trail looks really awesome.

I love these cameras I lived in Jackson Hole for several years which was awesome since Im a dirt jumper and from Memphis and this looks like a shortened version of the path I took to and from work everyday(I worked at Snowking Mtn Resort the steepest commercial slope in the world) I literally rode my bike up a mountain around the face across the ridge to Snowking and then down the face and it was a huge rush! I actually rode down the Teton 22 pass once and peed my pants twice.....

Looks fun...my son rides, and in Wales it is often cold and muddy and rocky and rooty and slippery, and at one comp, all the rider's legs were stung with hail and sleet blowing horizontal at them..Summer riding is better as no bikes to strip down and clean after every ride..this track here looks good in my opinion!

looked pretty fun. i could do that on a hybrid bike tho. the mountain bike trails near me are in my opinon imposible. the trail is 3 inches wide, there are roots and chunks of stone everywere, swamp on one side, and trees sticking out into the trail on the other.

Hey mountain bikers, I live in Florida USA (where there aren't many hills), and I recently went mountain biking on some fairly nice trails. I loved the hills, turns, small drops, and other obstacles. This was my first time and I had so much fun I wanted to get into the sport more. Does anyone have tips for beginner mountain bikers( places to go (any tips on getting more agile with the bike)

Gonna hit this up in the summer. I tried a hard DH run at Angelfire with my bike that has a head tube angle of 69. I was terrified, but once you try it on a freeride or downhill bike the difference is dramatic. Gotta have my TR250 built by May 18.

I agree, when you actually have one and know how fast you're going then look at the footage afterwards it doesn't seem like you were going all that fast.

what you do, is you will come off your peddles a little bit and your butt is supposed to be off the seat.. but you just have to be comfortable standing and going up ramps for starters, then you get to the landing which is easy.. just feel lightweight and when you land you kinda go with the flow.

It is possible on a hardtail you just feel alot more of the bumps and more strain on your knees. Most people would advise full suspension but if you have a good pair of forks on the front you should be fine

I agree there thats why you need to take a second camera and have it near the jumps to show your height (and tricks). Plus it makes for a better video when you have transitions and cuts. I love just being able to see the POV of the Rider but to make a really good video you WILL need the 2nd camera.

depends where you put the camera, i used to have it on my helmet but now i bought chest mount and it's much better you can see the steering, fork, front wheel and arms of the driver. Anyway there is no camera in the world that will show exactly how driver feels and how actually difficult the track is. GoPro is made to capture stunts and movements and it does awesome job, it's not to make you feel the same adrenaline as the person who performed the stunt.

no, thats where you're wrong. This is not a crosscountry trail. it requires heavier more bulky style of bikes. the bike this guy is riding is 4 times heavier than ur cross country mountain bike, plus these trails have: jumps, drops, and steeep bank turns. you simply could not possibly bike up terrain like that especially on a downhill specific bike.

its the fish eye lens that they have fitted to the camera... we get a large field of view which is good for a lot of pov shots... but we trade that for poor depth perception ... you can really only see the difference when you see a trail that youve already ridden on filmi think they should made the next go pro have interchangeable lenses to fix this

I'd agree to a point with this but at the same time you still need good strong reliable parts im not saying you need the best but idealy you wan the high end mid-range stuff yes skill is nessesary but you can have all the skill in the world but if you hit a drop wrong youve hit a 1000 and you wheel goes then your going to do some damage the only thing you dont really want to go cheap and second hand with is the protective clothing.

SO question, I have family that just moved to Denver, and I will be visiting a lot since I don;t have to get a hotel ha, I do a ton of XC mountain biking in North Texas I have a hardtail cannondale, and I have pretty good bike skills, and a fairly fast rider. I've done a few jumps 2-3 feet nothing major, mainly because we don't have downhill in Texas.. Would my hardtail do alright on the winter park trails? I have tubeless tires as well so I would be running a little lower tire pressure...
