Saw it last night ☺️ Is Hugh Bonneville ill? He's lost a pile of weight and his voice sounds different. Himself, Tom, and Carson must have had a lovely summer - brown as berries the lot of them 🌞

Matthew Goode's schedule did not allow for him to appear in the second Downton film. He was working on his new show The Offer and could not fit in a cameo for Downton. In The Offer, Goode plays Robert Evans, the late, legendary movie producer and Paramount Studio CEO.

Why is it called Abbey? Abbey is translated as church or monastery. Thank you

Possibly because the present-day structure was built on the site of a 14th-century bishop’s residence (which, then, were palaces).

Cause it was. It was once a Catholic monastery but Henry VIII drove the Catholics out and conficscated much of their property.

I did not like how the movie started! We all knew Tom and Lucy were supposed to be married, but I was looking forward to the story lines building up to the wedding. Neither character hardly had any lines in the movie. I'm going to have to get the DVD to watch again. Maybe my opinion will change, but right now, the first movie was better than the second.

They're not doing a series anymore so everything in these movies which they reluctantly do is very condensed.

Disturbing. The actors were smiling and laughing MASK-FREE, while the peasants who labored off-camera were muzzled and silenced with unnecessary masks. Rules for thee, but not for me! Class division is The New Normal.

No cares whatsoever, apparently, about millions of people who have died from covid. A lot of them didn't need to die. But did because of people like you.
