I'm watching it with my father and brother, just two episodes remaining to finish...i already miss it. This version is incredibly well played and very close to the original theme, very fine musicians!

Same here. My mother watched it for years with my wife and sister-in-law. She passed away right before the final season, so I watched all the seasons prior to the final being released. Excited for the new movie...

Hi guys I do not speak English I'm from mexico and obviously speak Spanish , but for me it is necessary to say they are the best , they play excellent,has a huge talent! Nope. Watch it again and listen carefully. By "more than two instruments," one can assume that angelthman means more than two parts. And they are right because a cello is already playing before he starts, while she does the intro on the piano. Presumably he recorded the background cello bit separately and added it to the final track, but there are definitely at least two cello parts. The wow is still valid because the cover is very well done, but you're incorrect about the number of parts involved.

There's a violin and piano version of this as well. But, I prefer this version. The timbre and expressiveness of the cello is a delight to the ears.

I am currently recovering from a virulent Flu Virus & bought a DVD of Downton Abbey the 2nd Series just a couple of days ago. To take my mind off the Flu I have watched all FOUR CDs in 24 hours & the Theme Tune obviously hooked into my brain! Your version of it is quite excellent & your rendition reminds me of The Piano Guys who I saw LIVE in Birmingham a couple of years ago. THANKS for sharing this video with me.

Love this. I've listened to a few covers of this theme - and this is the best one I've heard. Some of the others just seem to bang it out without seeming to have any understanding of how much conflict (relentless progress versus fading elegance) there is in this piece. You two captured the spirit of it so beautifully.
