I think just evidence of quality humans. To be in one of the most serious period dramas ever created. And completely lose themselves in this fun and silliness shows there lack self seriousness. They take their jobs seriously but not themselves. And yes deffo great actors. X

Lady Mary as Princess Leia. Bates keeps hitting his head with the light saber. From Ealing Studios to Highclere Castle, no expense was spared. The Dowager Countess and Mrs. Crawley finally in agreement, light sabers in hand. Who needs a Downton movie when we have this?

I love the fact that as he does this between the takes Thomas's costume is always different. That also shows how involved he got in making that. I imagine him shouting "Brendan, time for Downton Wars! "

Watching Thomas have so much fun..running around the tree with Mr Bates made me sad n happy at the same time. Sad coz I really wanted him to be happy and find someone but that didn't happen in the series. Happy,coz I know he'll find some joy in the upcoming movie. This shit was hilarious. This is my first time watching this, and I can overlook the cameras and other behind the scenes stuff that pops up in the background. I can overlook the crewman that is just hanging out in the kitchen. I can even overlook the fact the lightsabers and Mary with princess Leia buns. But Bates walks with a limp and carries a cane.
