I want to try building a "Downtown Deco" kit as they look really cool. I've built Tichy flatcar kits, Walthers kits and scratch built my own buildings as well as 3 card stock models. After fitting the windows and doors I would airbrush them before assembly. I just purchased a brand new A-proxo knife set. I never use X-acto knives as nothing is ever exact, only approximate. I also make my own rust powder out of 0000 steel wool soaked in vinegar. Cheers from eastern TN
I agree with you. I tried several early on and I really don't like them. Although I do think Fat Lou's Liquor (another video) had some charm. I prefer wood. If something has to be cast, I prefer resin.
Well, you're like me then. I think a lot of videos spend too much time on intros. I try to keep my videos really fast paced but it is difficult to find the perfect balance and you can't please everyone.
Did I miss thickness/size of L beam you used for bracing. Thanks, informative build. Working on my first downtown deco hydro cal, first time bar. Second one is Lou’s Liquor store.
