East of the US-1 is really nice, especially along the Indian River Drive and on Hutchinson Island! There are some absolutely beautiful old homes throughout West of the US-1 also. Some of them are diamonds in the rough just waiting on the right homeowner to come along and restore them to their former glory!
@@TreasureCoastLife Besides living east of US 1 is really nice. How is the living North Ft Pierce and South Ft Pierce?? I've heard the middle is not so great
@@erical5544I like Fort Pierce South, and I’m gonna say that the middle and North are an acquired taste. Mostly older smaller homes with little pockets of larger homes. Some might say it looks rough but they have kind of a fun Caribbean feel to the neighborhoods. If you go a little further north you have Lakewood Park which is one of my favorite places!
I lived there in early 70s , parents had restaurant on orange Ave. Dad always said its the asshole of the world lol . He had option to open restaurant in stuart or ft pierce. He made the wrong choice. We had alot of fun there in the 70s , it was awesome .
If you’re looking for a good inspection company to check out your house views mercury home inspections in fort Pierce ..Ask for Doug and he will make sure your golden all around.
What about on the st Lucie River just west of white city? Looking at properties on the river. How is it around there? I’m moving from Fort Lauderdale where I lived my entire life looking for somewhere not as crowded. Also looks like flood zone in the area around st Lucie River near white city. Is that an issue?
It’s beautiful there! Most of the neighborhoods have the large oak trees with Spanish moss hanging from them. It’s very picturesque southern feeling. As an added bonus the White City Park there is probably our favorite park in the area. Beautiful park, good fishing, and a free boat ramp. Living on a river or close to it will put you at risk of a storm surge, usually for a category 3 hurricane or larger. Unfortunately that’s the risk of living on an ocean access river. Midway road, which runs through White City, is also starting to see some development now which is good for the area too. I hope this helps! Feel free to call me to learn more 8066789067
How about across the bridge by the beach area. Lots of places to eat. Tiki bars and other restaurants. How is living on the east side of the bridge. Thumb Point community for example?
You’re correct! In this video I was focusing on the mainland part of Fort Pierce as opposed to the Hutchinson Island part as they are fairly different. There are great places to eat there on the Island, and I love the beachy, laid back, friendly feel of Thumb Point! I actually have a video going over the pros and cons of living in that area
What type of nurse are you? Lawnwood is the regional trauma center and the only hospital in Fort Pierce. My wife is an ICU nurse at Cleveland Clinic Tradition in Port St Lucie and she loves it there! There is also St Lucie Hospital nearby in Port St Lucie
Don't do it, Police dept o. Verge of shutting down. Don't try PSl unless you like hoa rules because that there new stance. Everything must be out of sight, grass not cut each week they write you up.
It definitely depends on which county and city you’re in, but on average Florida has slightly lower property taxes than California. At least that’s what every source I looked up said
Right it’s a jungle in south Florida traffic is a nightmare- crime is even worse. As for fort Pierce high crime- nice areas for the rich - really not a family city nothing here to do for the youth- no museums- really for the retired!
