The real crime is having a high rise sitting in the middle of the city abandoned for years while we have an ongoing homeless and housing crisis

We have FAR BIGGER concerns than vacant condos getting tagged,

It is a trip that they dont care about skid row a few blocks away but once it affects a potentially lucrative building in the "L.A live" area all of a sudden we get good police action and prosecution.

I was dismayed until they said "China-based developers..." now I'm like HAVE AT IT, guys!! F 'em

30 years ago that area had many six story walk ups were many working families and new comers could afford to live. Then AIG built Staples tore down most of the affordable housing replacing it with high end crap.

These towers have been sitting ABANDONED for YEARS!!! Just think… all the homeless out on our streets that could be housed there, violent crimes and who knows what else happens in those towers, foreign countries/corporations buying up huge amounts of land in major cities (meanwhile we have a housing crisis), etc etc … yet everyone is appalled by the different layers of colors being applied on the outside surface of the building. Government officials need to do better and us, the public, need to look into the deeper issues here and hold said officials accountable. We should be thanking these graffiti artists for shedding light the actual problem here, via a non-violent and creative outlet.

May sound crazy but sometimes the artwork is actually beautiful, adds a nice touch. I often watch the trains that pass and look for the art. We have it in my town, it's an old town so when people add a touch of color, really doesn't look too bad.. unless they suck at it. Lol.

Writing graffiti on private property is a form of ADDICTION because it continues on in spite of the many risks involved (falling from great heights, being arrested, hostile encounters from property owners or security, etc.).

It looks like garbage that's what graffiti looks like. They should be charged for doing that. Taggers that's so stupid they should say wreckers. Some of that shows a lot of artistry that they should be trying to make a living being there such a good drawers. But keep it off the buildings nobody wants it on the buildings it looks horrible.

I actually spent my life doing art and I find it fascinating however you're doing it on somebody else's private property. I doubt these taggers would like it if somebody came to their house and tagged on their house.
