If they were rebuilt, I would like to meet them in person, and see how it feels to be in a 107-story tower (I think that's the amount) I loved that there are still people who filmed the WTC before the attack

You know, I feel really bad when I watch these pre-9/11/2001 video clips showing New York City and the World Trade Center as it was. You see, I used to occasionally visit NYC back in the late 1980s when I was just a kid. At the time, I had *NO* idea what would happen to the Twin Towers about a decade or so later. As such, I was quite a naive boy. I believed that everything I grew up with would "last forever". How stupid I was! Even more stupid, I never appreciated the Twin Towers back then because, to my young mind, they were just two tall buildings. Nobody warned me that they would be destroyed. Why didn't someone tell me what would happen?! If I could go back to those days again, I know that I would appreciate them much more than I did.
I got butchered by a worker when he thought I took a picture of him I was just holding my phone and he walked by and asked me if I took a picture of him I told him no I would never taken a picture of random people without their permission he wanted to check my phone to make sure I wasn't lying I told him what on my phone is none of his business and I just left.
The original Skyline is ICONIC no doubt! I still don’t like the new Tower they replaced them with. For those who live in NY how do you feel about the new Tower?.
One thing that is possible equally scary as the attack is how america have changed after the attacks. Its like the last pieces of the old genuine america was taken away at the same time. And the digital internetage had just began. I was newly engaged with my first girlfriend just one month before. And just few months later the world went to the cinemas and watched lord of the rings.
It’s good that the planes hit earlier rather than later as if it were later thousands more would of died. The office building was just waking up from the night. Just shows you the scale of the towers that over 2000 still died despite the work day not yet started. RIP to all those who died on that painful day
I recall hearing many years ago that the terrorists thought that the American work day started at 8:00, and planned that the building should be attacked about 45 minutes into the day when the buildings would be likely at max capacity. The buildings at max capacity supposedly were able to on any given day have 25,000+ people between the 2 buildings.
I heard the Twin Towers is what made New York awesome I was born in 1999 so I didn't really experience the Twin Towers they really did make New York stick out the New One Trade Center doesn't really stick out that much the original looked better in design.

Seeing what's happening at the 9:08 mark feels a bit eerie! Since planes often flew around them, I guess that's why many unfortunately mistook the initial jet crashing into Tower #1 to be an accident. That of which proved to be a fatal mistake, since many were told to go back to and stay inside the second tower, and sadly lost their lives as a result too.
The whole idea of a passenger plane being hijacked to be used as a weapon was unthinkable at that time - let alone 4 on that day! Hijacking happend every now and then, unfortunately, but usually the planes and passengers were taken hostage. But deliberatly flying a plane into a building? That was something new, nobody thought a terrorist organisation could pull something like this off. 2 planes into WTC, 1 into the Pentagon, and 1 was supposed to hit the White House, but crash landed somewhere in the countryside. The way information circulated in 2001 was way slower than today, not everyone had a mobile/cell phone and those things could only be used for phone calls and SMS. Information flow from the planes were very limited and delayed. Today there would be a lot of social media, whatsapp, telegram, twitter posts from within the planes with detailed information, pictures, videos, maybe even live streams. But back then? Next to nothing. I saw it happen on live TV. With all information available to the public at that point, the first plane really seemed to be an accident. But everyone knew that it is a terrorist attack only when we saw the second plane approaching, hitting, and exploding in the second tower. After that slowly information about other planes became available. I will never forget those pictures, even though I only saw them on TV. I can only guess, that the first responders, police and firefighters barely knew more than what was broadcasted on CNN. The order to let the people stay in Tower #2 might have been to avoid a panic on the stairs or on the ground and to evacuate the Tower #1 first. What I find eerie about this footage though is that it was taken half a year after the bombing of the WTC. Repair works were still done and WTC 3 was still closed until 1994.
@@andreasklindt7144 And I know it's easy to say that those in Tower #2 should have gotten the hell out of dodge when the first tower got hit. But again, no one did truly know what was happening, and it's just sad so many more lives were lost that fateful day which didn't need to be though. 🙁
these buildings were two giant capacitors and were worn out take a good look at the contents- and + uranium and supper cleaned up quickly so as not to leave any traces high voltage rectifiers 
If they were rebuilt they should've correct the mistakes they made the first time making them more safe and easier to evacuate but I guess they didn't do it to respect the memory of those who lost their lives in the hijacked airplanes and in the twin towers.
Thats a long fall from the world trade center. That must have been awful for the people jumping from that building on 9.11.2001. What an awful way to die but i guess its better than getting blown up in the world trade center though.
