Ouellette Avenue is a major commercial corridor in the city that connects people and motorists from highway 401 from the south all the way up to the city’s river front. Up until the mid-twentieth century, much of this area shown on this video originally was primarily residential. It wasn’t until the 1950s when there was a wave of real estate investment that transformed this area from residential to make way for new commercial retail and office buildings seen today.
