Very nice video of downtown Portland and you covered it all. Everyone seemed to be out and about enjoying their day. I don't think I even saw 1 tent or homeless person in the entire video. I have to ask though and no one ever answers. Whenever I watch video's of Portland whether yours or others, it always looks peaceful and safe. Then I watch the news or I hear people talk about Portland, and the city comes across as a Lawless Dystopian Warzone. Where if one walked around Portland especially downtown, that they would be shot or mugged, and have their vehicle stolen moments after parking it.
Go up into Chinatown or around the government center and you'll see the tents and graffiti. That being said, great strides have been made recently to clean it up.
When I went to Portland in 2021 it was really quite sad what it had become. Then I returned a recently and it was largely cleaned up. Being shot/mugged/vehicle stolen though is just propaganda.
@@larryjex6485 That's really good news to hear, that finally the city has been cleaning it up. I know the video's I have been watching lately Portland looks pretty good. There is even a 35 story Ritz Carlton Hotel opening with condo's over a million dollars. So things must really be starting to turn around, and that is great Thanks for the reply and info on Portland.
Cause the videos are tourist attraction to get you to come spend money. That's why they look peaceful . It's really as bad as the others say. Don't be fooled.
