Reno is a city in the U.S. state of Nevada, located in the western part of the state, approximately 22 miles (35 km) from Lake Tahoe. Known as "The Biggest Little City in the World", Reno is famous for its hotels and casinos. It is the county seat of Washoe County, in the northwestern part of the state. The city sits in a high desert at the foot of the Sierra Nevada and its downtown area (along with Sparks and other suburbs) occupies a valley informally known as the Truckee Meadows. It is named after Union Major General Jesse L. Reno, who was killed in action at the Battle of South Mountain on Fox's Gap.
Reno is the third-most populous city in Nevada after Las Vegas and Henderson and the most populous city in the state outside the Las Vegas Valley, with an estimated population of 248,853 in 2017. Me too💜 sadly i havent had the time to go back. The last time i visited there , smartphones, tablets and social media didnt exsist😱 and now covid reared its ugly head.

I hate to break it to you as a local, it's not. Downtown and East of Downtown isn't great until you get to Renown or the GSR and even then the surrounding areas are questionable at best.

I lived in Reno between 1980-1984...I liked it and always wanted to go back...when I went back in 2008..it was like a ghost town..nothing like I remembered..it was depressing..most of what I remembered was gone...the downtown streets and casinos were always packed with people all year round..famous bands and celebrities appearing all the time with all kinds of different shows. Circus Circus use to have great circus acts...there were hot women everywhere....I also remember seeing Farah Fawcett..she was sitting on a bar stool in front of a slot machine signing autographs at the old Reno casino. There was a crowd of people around her telling her how good she was in Charlie's angels. The atmosphere reno use to have has disappeared.

Thank you so much for sharing, a friend of mine moved there a long time ago, back in 1997, i was living in San Antonio, Tx at the time, i never heard of him again, im still so sad because i lost contact with him, it's been 22 years, since he told me he was moving to Reno, just to never hear from him again, i now live in California and he is always on my mind when i hear the word Reno. 😢

This was awesome! I have never been to Nevada.. I really need to make a trip out there with the Wife.. I've been considering doing a similar video here in Orlando since I could only walk so fast on a long stretch of road lol. J Utah does a lot of driving videos but not too sure how he's getting the hood of his car out of view.

I think J Utah is just tilting the camera up until the hood is gone. I like your walking tour videos, and they are healthier then just driving 😁

@@SigisTravelVideos That's what I'm thinking as well with the windows down. There's no way it's on the exterior with no wind noise. Haha, the walking tours is definitely a great reason for me to start getting somewhat healthier.

Grew up in Reno left 89 go back every year and visit friends and family, unfortunately the town is not the same. However I as well watched the entire video great quality and thanks. Can't make that left turn at Jimboy's...Great tacos by the way.

From SFbayArea, but RENO is always our last destination to stay after lake tahoe summer or winter. Atlantis, peppermill, nugget, gsr, downtown area. We spend a week just to explore around speically foods. ThumbsUp biggest little city of NV.

I would say more apartments, and mixed-use housing and commercial buildings are being built now in downtown. Also, other parts are being developed by adding designated artworks(mostly Burning Man). I find it really exciting whenever I see development in downtown 😉

I was thinking about that. The problem with longer videos is that you have to find a lot of copyright free music, and then there is the problem that you will be receiving complaints that they don't like the specific music on the video.

Never been to Reno but examining it to settle down if affordable. Don't know how it feels inside the casinos but outside its pretty much dead. Of course, comparing with Vegas or NYC. Sorry to Reno lovers.

Housing costs are pretty high in Reno since Tesla, Panasonic etc moved to the area. My daughter pays over 1200 a month for a 1 bedroom apartment. It's nice,but not a luxury apartment.

Sigis Travel Videos in fact, yes. HOWEVER, it’s gonna be in a couple of years. This article explains that they are gonna add many more buildings in downtown Reno and it’s gonna be awesome!
