This dude deserves every bit of success that comes his way. 30-plus years of smaller club touring in every corner of the country, from both incarnations of the Misfits to Doyle, to Gorgeous Frankenstein and KTC... the guy has paid any and all punk rock dues. He’s is punk rock he kicks his guitars ass and can kick ur ass! He plays bass amps, he publicly said the October guitar company who was making his signature guitars don’t know how to make guitars so he won’t play his signature guitars made by them which nobody ever would say that because the musicians make money from the sale of their guitars but he was honest that’s super punk rock I mean just think about any other guitarist that has ever said their signature guitar sucks? I can’t think of one guitarist they always say how amazing they are, how even the lower priced Chinese guitars are just so amazing and they could go to guitar center to buy one of their Chinese signature guitars and drive to the show and play it live that’s literally what they all say because they make tons of money selling them. I went to guitar store near me I won’t say their name because I don’t want to bash a business a few times this year to buy a guitar and a few times they wouldn’t let me buy the guitar for a few days because they were used and had to be at the store for so many days which is a state law I get it but why put a guitar on the wall if someone can’t buy it just wait to display it specially because they needed to be set up so set them up in the mean time. Then I try to buy a new EVH guitar but it wasn’t set up correctly, the d-tuna needed to be adjusted because it was far out of tune when using it and they wouldn’t be able to get the guitar set up for a day or 2, I said how much are the fees for setting up a Floyd rose plus the d-tuna I think he said 50 or 75 bucks I don’t remember exactly so I said ok I want the guitar now so just take the 50 bucks off the guitar and I will do it myself, he said he can’t do that, I said so ur gonna loose a sale because you don’t wanna take $50 off a $1000 guitar because you guys wait till the guitars are sold to make sure they play good? He said I don’t want to loose the sale but I can’t give you $50 off for a set up when we can do it for free. I said ok well I guess I will go somewhere else. He said they also don’t want to sell guitars until they are set up so when they leave they play 100% so the customers are 100% happy. I said if you wanted customers happy then why wouldn’t your employees play every guitar here and have ur tech set up every one that plays bad? I mean the past 3 nights have not been busy everyone is standing around doing nothing wouldn’t it make sense to have ur employees do that then just sit around then if a customer wants a guitar they can buy it? He said well what if the customer wants it set up in a different tuning? I said what’s better a customer having a guitar set up playing in standard tuning perfectly or not set up playing bad? Set up the signature guitars in that players common tuning. It makes no sense to me to let ur employees just sit around when you have all these guitars that aren’t set up. Why would anyone buy a guitar here and wait a few days when they can just order one online cheaper and get in the same time? And to top it off what if a guitarist comes in here that has a show tonight and needs a guitar for the show because his guitar broke or was stolen? How can you not be able to sell someone a 100% playable guitar when they walk in? Maybe rather then only having one tech get rid of the person at the counter where the guitar accessories are that can’t tell me the difference between the pickups and get another tech. Then I left the store and bought a guitar online for half the price. This company is going to close at some point because they don’t take care of the customer nobody shops there anymore. All the musicians I know don’t shop there because nobody knows anything about the products they have, can’t get a guitar that day and the selections aren’t the best. There is another guitar/music store in my area that has any guitar you want if you want an original not a reissue 1963 tele they won’t laugh at you they will ask what color you want and they have guys with decades of experience so if u need it set up they will do it on the spot in minutes and if you are looking for a certain sound they can guide u to get that sound. If you want a certain year vox amp or orange amp or whatever they likely have it. I remember buying my first guitar there it was a Mexican strat HSS everyone was 650 for one new at the time and they were 550 and they sold it to me for 450 because I told them it’s my first guitar and all I had was 450 that really was it, I said well I guess I’ll have to come back when I have the money and the guy said you know what I’ll do it because ur a new player and I just want you to have a guitar so you don’t give up on playing. I went back there when I needed a input Jack plate for a peavey 4x12 cab and they spent 30 minutes looking for one that would work but couldn’t find one, they took my number down and they had the owner call peavey to try and get one because he knew people at peavey from being in business 60 years but they couldn’t find one but that just shows how much they care about customers and that’s why they are just a local shop but are always busy it can be 4pm on Sunday or 8pm on Tuesday and it’s always packed.
I will always stand by my statement that Doyle is the best thing in the misfits and his Doyle project is absolutely amazing. This man deserves the world.
I've become a major Misfits fan over the last couple months and through all the polarization and controversy around these cats I'm just super thankful that Doyle's been fuckin awesome and loyal to the music the whole way through.
what a humble guy so many so called rockstars and the hollywierd lot could learn so much from Doyle not an ounce of arrogance the man is confident in his talent and ability and he should be from what ive seen he deserves it all and more big respect to the man.
Super happy for Doyle I just hope it sells. The price they are charging I think it will be more limited to collectors. Hopefully they come out with a more affordable version. Misfits rock!!!🖤🔥🤙

I love how Doyle owns the interview. He cusses and if you don't like it get the fuck out. "Gimme that fuckin thing!" Doyle should do a make up line! Look at those smokey eyes! LOL
It's funny how he's such a hard guy (interrupting the interviewer dropping f bombs like they're hot) but then he's so down to earth at the same time like when he says he wants to be on the cover with him. Doyle seems like a great guy IRL.
I saw him open for Danzig in Baltimore....their singer bailed on them so the bass player sang that night. They put on a whale of a show! Doyle is cool!
@@incadove I'm not sure who the singer was. He wasn't there...stood them up. This was some time ago....probably 15-20 years ago. All I know is there was some confusion and then the bass player did the singing while playing bass at the same time. He actually did a good job.
The consistent makeup and stage persona takes a level of commitment many just don't have. The (for lack of a better phrase, please give me the correct genre name) "Ghoul Metal", bands are hard-core. If someone walks onstage looking like THAT, they better back up the look with skills.
Fuc shit up ,Doyle !!! I went to aaaa ton of 90,s Misfits shows , Doyle shit is soooooo fuckin loud and Sharp to the ears ! Like I remember being up front and they would start the show with Kong at the Gates!! Doyles guitar was so loud when that song would kick in as he's playing it back stage ..!!! Fuck yeah great misfits shows and memories

It’s good to see that he’s off the juice...he looks softer and fuller not as shredded of course but with his vegan lifestyle doing juice seems ridiculous. He still looks fit though. I remember seeing those photos of him 4-5 years ago and he literally looked like a bodybuilder.
Everyone likes Doyle, but to me he seems weird and based on his speech pattern, if you told me that he dropped out after 5th grade then I totally would believe it. This guy worked alongside his brother during the original carnation of the Misfits, during the Kryst the Conquer and the reboot of the Misfits in the mid 90’s. When you hear Doyle speak, it’s like he is between Glenn and Jerry. Jerry is his brother and he gave him more opportunities than he deserved, but he is hardly regarded as that.
unfortunately for him I doubt he is getting many royalties from his endorsement considering dean priced the guitar out of 99.9% of peoples reach 10 grand for a guitar is mental even gibson think twice before going that ridiculous with price and the fact dean look like they be going under soon as 2 banks are foreclosing on them think he will be looking for a new company to work with

Hello, vegan here. I'm not entirely sure as at least to my knowledge, modern Guitars don't use things such as real pearl because of the cost, but I guess something like that!
Some inlays are made from abalone which is a shellfish,this is where you get mother of pearl,the creature has to be killed to get this,so that harvesting process doesn't fit with Doyles vegan values.
That make up and costume thing always sounds like a great gimic untill you get picked up and now your stuck for the next 10 years touring in that shit! Lol
Not using animal parts, byproducts, or materials derived from them is literally the main tenant of being vegan. If you just don't eat meat you're a vegetarian.
Ahh, there's always one that's gotta ignorantly bash him being vegan. Let's face it, he really doesn't and still looks great for his age. He's been vegan now for like 10 years and looking through pictures of before and after being vegan, he's looked a lot better since not eating animals.
