Love the videos. We’ve got a ‘93 555G WT Crawler Loader, same hp as your 650G. Love hearing & seeing y’all run that older equipment. That 650G is a workhorse just like our 555-Ours is pedal steer vs the lever, but direct drive just the same.

Nice video. Feels like in right there in the seat. Reminds me of when I used to do that type of work. Those were fun to run. But whenniy gets too muddy to climb back up it sure is frustrating. I ran mostly 650s when I worked out in Washington. Amazing how much work it is dozing and skidding logs. My boss had many dozers. I ran a d7 and some 17a dozers that were really old. They had the old clutch and separate levers forwards and reverse and a lever for gear speed and two levers for winch in and winch out and drag tension brake and staring brakes and clutches and lever for blade and the 17a had cable blades. And I tell you after running them all day on steep ground shifting forward reverse line in and out pulling clutch in and out Everytime. skidding and pushing roads in. They are a handful and those old guys who ran those all day for their while life. Those were men. Makes you appreciate these newer dozers simpler controls. If you know about those older machines. Anyway nice video.

Everything back in the day was a lot more to handle! I worked for a company that imported and exported hay and they had 4 “squeezes” which are big forklifts but the forks are vertical so you squeeze together..The Hysters we’re huge and comfy but the cats were my favorite both were 175s or 210s I don’t recall but 1 of the cats was old I think 1973 no power steering and no cab just a roll cage and it was so much fun to run lol honestly miss nights up in the cabs of those loading hay

Not sure, havent dealt with slope percentages all that much. If i were guessing, id say at the steepest 30% or a little higher.

Honestly i wish there were m9re videos like this on here. Dozers skidding logs bailin through trees down hills over stumps and off rock bluffs. So many videos of dozers spreading loose dirt or clearing brush and pushing in a road or driveway. And all the viewers calling the skilled operators and being amazed about what they are doing. But unless you are a logger dozer operator skidding logs building trails in steep and dangerous terrain on a daily basis., then you are no expert dozer operator. Back and forth leveling dirt on some open field isnt nothing. Skid logs middle of winter 5 feet of snow running down slopes with trees chasing you and sliding under dozer pushing you down the hill or loose dirt and dozer sliding 20 feet on one track getting to the trees. Etc. That operating takes guts and nerves and skills. Thanks for a little taste of the old days of real dozer b operating.
