If he keeps going, he'll get more. It's too good to remain 'under tabs'. The biggest thing it SEEMS that the interviewees enjoy the interviews he gives. So more 'names' will be willing to take interviewers with him.
People can watch graphic violence online or on the news police bodycam footage wars etc. With a film people learn a bit more about the characters involved and likely that's why there is more of an emotional element. Human trafficking and murder is a real thing too happens off camera all the time but if a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to see it did it really fall? Obviously it did if you see it on the ground. Sometimes it's bodies on the ground people find instead of trees.
I thought he was referencing No Country For Old Men vs The Road. Same author. The former, the directors brought a lot to it. The latter, it does kind of feel like a TV movie. Would've been funny too cos of the Viggo connection.
Yes, a scene can be improved with handheld style but was just commenting on what Cronenberg was saying, it's really distracting for just head shots of people talking in an office, etc. I see alot of this on TV, that floating handheld style that is in vogue right now.
