Thanks for your comment, yes my point was that the term data aggregation is ambiguous, it can mean many different things in analytics engineering, and it isn't clear what exactly Microsoft expect. Especially when it is combined with 'disaggregation'. But yes, I believe they are looking for a Power BI view on data aggregation 👍

Thanks for the videos Will. I passed my DP-600 today with a score of 900. Almost 60-65% of the questions came from your videos and the rest from free exam dumps I found on google as well as Microsoft's training path for this certification. Its not super tough but questions can be tricky sometimes, 70% of the questions I had encountered before , so kindly prepare and give it a go. Thanks again for the great content ✅😊

Thank you Will! I only had enough time to go thru the ms learn course and your video due to time constraints, but i was able to barely pass at 755! You covered around 80 to 90% of the non DAX questions. I got a lot those and came up blank lol. No visualization type question. Time is really tight. I had 25 minutes to answer the last 30 questions. And the questions was like really long. I think this series +dax and sql dive will give a taker a very high chance to pass.
Man, this is quality tutorials. I'm currently helping my company shift into Fabric and I've been trying to figure out everything myself which is sometimes a bit confusing but now that I'm preparing for the DP-600 I want some formal education on Fabric. Thank you for providing it and for free! After this one I'll jump into the Spark tutorial since it's a main piece of my data science work and then Power BI for all BI and visualizations. Great course so far! I have some doubts regarding the practice questions: 1) 01:09:00 - I tested this case by creating a separate workspace as a Fabric admin. Inside the workspace I added a Lakehouse 1 with sample Covid data loaded and Notebook 1 that simply imports the table as a dataframe, adds a column and overwrites the original table. Then I shared the items with another user who has no access to the workspace. I gave him ReadAll for Lakehouse 1 and Edit permission for Notebook 1. Now there's a message that you have to grant the Run permission to the user with Edit permission, but it was still possible to grant the Edit permission only. Not surprisingly, this user was able to open Notebook 1, but couldn't run it. Granting the Run permission fixed this issue, so I think it should be mentioned in the answer to the questions as well. But there's more - I thought that ReadAll permission grants READ permission to Spark data only, but apparently this user was able to run the notebook from start to end, overwriting the table (or even creating a new one after code updates) without the Write permission to the lakehouse. Is that the intended behaviour? What's more, the user could even create shortcuts and delete tables from the Lakehouse explorer, so what's the point of Write permission granted with the Contributor role? Funny enough, the user couldn't see the contents of the lakehouse from the notebook level (with the message that permission was denied), but could see everything from the lakehouse explorer. 2) 2:18:00 - I also tested this and in my case I needed the Contributor access to both Workspaces. With the Viewer in Workspace B I was able to see the lakehouse, but not the tables, thus I was unable to create a shortcut. I'd be grateful for help!

@@LearnMicrosoftFabric I'm interested in learning about the traditional process and what Fabric brings to the table that changes it. I need the context so that I can understand what power i'm leveraging. Why is Apache Spark the chosen vs the alternatives (Kafka etc.) Since the SQL Endpoint is both read and write, should the whole OLTP layer just move into directly into Fabric? (Power Apps etc.). Can that be configured?

@@vajeeb yes it’s available, but ctrl + f doesn’t work. Don’t know if you’ve used MS learn on the fly, but it’s search is worse than bing. I wasted far too much time in it looking for a few answers that I couldn’t find, and had to rush the rest.
Hi, great content! Do you know how similar the practice exam is to the real exam? As in are they very watered down or quite similar to what we should expect?
The content is fairly similar, but normally the exam questions are longer/ with more context. I definitely recommend going through the Microsoft Practice Assessment DP-600 a few times to understand the types of questions you can expect 👍

I have one doubt in fabric data pipelines and dataflow present in both data factory and data engineering and they look same what is the difference between them,what is the need of presenting in two like in data factory and data engineering,can anyone explain
Yes they will be the same. Some items appear in more than one 'experience' because they are useful to different personas (also the notebook is available in Data Engineering and Data Science experiences)
If I have watched the initial series of 12 videos, is this different content or basically the same? Do I have to go through this video for the course as well?
Hey, that depends on your current level of skills and experience. If you are a complete beginner, probably not, but if you have existing skills and experience in SQL, PySpark, Power BI, it's possible. GO through the course and then try the Microsoft Practice Exam to gauge your current level 👍
@@LearnMicrosoftFabric I'm preparing for dp-203 now once done will start to preparing for this one. Just for small doubt if you could clarify I asked a few about taking fabric they said it's still too early and still being developed is it right time to go for the certificate or wait some more time.
@keithfjord Microsoft already has a practice exam for the Fabric exam and you can take the practice tests as much as you can. Simply go to getting certified under DP600 to take practice exam. You may need to sign in with your MS learn credentials to have an assessment result tailored to your achievements achievements
I don't think you will get 100% off, that was only available around April time. Check out the Microsoft Challenges for 50% off though. The most recent one was the AI Skills Challenge (50% off), not sure if that's still avaiable
