@@craigstubbs858 🤗🤗 I can sort it out 😎 Do you know a good place that can help me ? Obviously I need DPF delete, EGR delete and get rid of the Adblue system then an ECU remap.
@@vanfella1156 Hey. Cleared the issue I had, then done Adblue and EGR delete, DPF regenerates as it should, car runs really well now with no further issues, and I got a Stage 1 as well same day for just extra £25 😎
Got a 1.6 desial had the DPD gutted since that cars power increased no end no issues Evan got a stage one put on just to make it work abit but best decision I've had done
It is. One big environmental scam. Imagine how much of toxins are released to the atmosphere when DPF is performing its 'regens', how much of toxins and materials used to produce a new DPFs replacements, how much of toxins are released to the atmosphere when flushing DPFs with chemicals, how much waste is created by used / faulty DPFs. That's ridiculous and governments should have a closer look into this 'business'.
It is bad for the environment, but it is basically useless as either way the “soot” goes into the environment regardless of wether it holds it for abit in the dpf or not
The only scam here is your lack of education. Here's some free info; removing dpf is illegal and WILL invalidate your car insurance - this is inspected in a total loss... Good luck 👌🏼
Garages love them because they are making money from the dpf screwing up the engine . Who cares about the environment , I care about getting ripped off with a scam . Do we see our government shutting down India or chinas emissions or do they turn a blind eye . 😂
is it possible to turn off the DPF on the switch? like switching between staff 1-2-3? I put on a long pipe, press the switch, and the DPF is turned off in the software. when I have to test emissions for registration, I put back the DPF and turn it on with the switch to work in the folder/ecu. Do you understand what I want?
not really possible on the switch, however you could code it out, and put it in for the test as it is still able to work, without having to regen, the regen is not part of the test. eventually you will have to clean it somehow.
Thanks for your video! Do you have an idea how to install an oxi cat for a Audi B7 2.0 TDI? In the DPF case there is only the DPF, so no oxi cat at all. Reason behind: after removing the DPF the exhaust gases are stinky like hell. I guess an oxi cat would be helpful.
most likely you will find a company that can taka out your dpf, smash the stuff inside, reweld it and recode the ecu to not search for a dpf ... at this time they will also sell you a power upgrade :)
I removed my dpf on mercedes sprinter, now the engine check light is on. if i speed up over 80, the engine light flashes and revs wont go over 2000 causing drag. was wondering if this is normal after dpf removal, without deleting it from vehicles computer?
yes. it is ... I was looking to test the following: if you have access to a diagnostic tool try to reset dtcs + use the new dpf service function ... it might give you a few days to still use the car ... eventually you should get it removed from the ecu software (let me know if it works)
depends on the strategy that the tuner uses when removing the DPF from the software. This question should be answered by the tuner. Some keep them some remove them.
Hello I did a dpf and egr delate last weak. All fine and works very well but it is to much white smoke from the exhaust and I do not know what to do. I also want to say that I did not remap the ESU. Do you think that remaping is the problem!?
would not think so. white smoke is usually coolant that is vaporised. at startup, with the engine cold you could get a bit of smoke, but after a few min it should not be a issue ... time to investigate ... now you are able to see what led to the dpf failing
to make you life more complicated, the answer is on many cars the CAT + DPF are in the same unit, however there are vehicles where these are in different units.
The main source of ash is not "byproduct of regeneration" as you say. 90% of ash accumulation in DPF is caused by byproducts of inevitable oil consumption and metallic particle deposits from wear of internal components such as piston rings. Multiple studies and academic research papers showing this if you are interested ;)
interesting observations ... "Multiple studies and academic research papers showing this if you are interested ;)" of course ... that is the type of geeky stuff that I like ... send me a message on IG or an email at the contact email for the yt channel and we can chat more :) thx
"Multiple studies and academic research papers showing this if you are interested ;)" OK I'm interested, any clue of how to get a hold of these research papers or is that classified?
@@robt8042 @BestCarMods Well ofc not all research is public, the manufacturers keep it to themselves a lot. However the source of my information is from the publicly available research papers that are easily accessible via just googling something along the lines of "source of ash in DPF research" and you will get plenty research thrown at you from various institutes. My favorite is this one, on page 10 you have a nice breakdown of sources - www.osti.gov/servlets/purl/1651327
Complete bollocks. The soot particles are captured in the filter and oxidized during the regeneration process. Ash, which is the incombustible material left behind following the regeneration process and gradually builds up over long periods of time.
Hello, I have a problem on the n57, the egr valve should be changed or I should block it, what do you suggest?, in case I block it AND turn it off normally on the software, do I have to do the same with the dpf filter??
if you deactivate or block the EGR, your DPF can't regen, so that will mean that your DPF needs to be removed from soft and also physically, if not it will clog up and not allow exhaust to flow.
I;ve been told that my DPF has been deleted in my car but the previous owner didn't actually remove it. He thinks it's full or close to and that's what's causing a P0299 underboost as there's backpressure preventing the turbo from spooling up properly I'm not sure how much I believe that though as I got a DPF full error on my car dash - if it was deleted from the ECU, it wouldn't show me errors for a full DPF, right?
@@rlee1068 remap = go to a company that does remaps if you don't you will get a check engine light you could reset the light and run untill the next time you need to reset ;)
@@fastracer1291 You will get check engine light. That is why people remap engine ecu , or you use a diagnostic tool and reset DPF values. Also it is illegal to remove the DPF.
Hard to say. It all has to do with flow rate. You need to ensure that you get the fumes out from the engine, if not you will restrict performance for your application. My advice see if a dpf delete pipe AKA DPF downpipe is available. Sometimes you find them on sale at a very good price. after that if you get bored, you can send your old dpf for a clean. @@bobbondarul7448
old vid but new thought . the EPA requires a dpf on diesel trucks to 'save" the environment.. SO what about trains??? they are diesel powered too. any new diesel locomotive should have these on too.. If they can slide on it. they we should be able to do that also.. just a thought
depends on remap and the health of the engine. If the tuner does a good job and the engine is healthy you can have minimum smoke only under aggressive acceleration
@@BeardedBavarianBiker. that well may be BUT, if you are caught without a cat the penalty is very high financially, the car is impounded, plus the car will have to be 're-catted' and the delete reinstalled for an inspection (which you also have to pay for) prior to being put back on the road. check the law on this one in the UK.
@@BestCarMods thank you for replying but I have no idea about the method a client brought me a with key working from time to time changed battery of the car and keys and still the same , would you be able to give me a advice Thank you
In the UK using a car on the road with the DPF removed is illegal and even if it does get through an MOT your insurance is invalid. If you crash, and the bill is going to be hefty (your fault or not), the loss adjuster is going straight to your car and looking for any undeclared modifications and they are well onto the DPF/EGR gut/blank game.
And then do the police get informed? You get done for no insurance, lose your house, turn into an alcoholic, write the comment you just did, and then kill yourself? No one asked bro...
If you crash a car the last thing they look at is your DPF they do a a very basic exterior examination of the car and engine they don’t get computers out and plug them in 😂
Exhaust gas recirculation valve, it sends a portion of exhaust gasses back into the intake manifold resulting in carbon gum build up and restricted air flow over time. First thing I do before even the DPF is clean the intake manifold and delete that stupid valve.
Yes, 0:54 “limp mode” is definitely a reduction in performance😂 like most of the guys that do this to their dodge Rams know which they drive to compensate
Do you believe or suggest Dpf Cleaning solvents or Cleaners??Do they work or cheating??I heard something to rinse it in to the Fuel tank and works fine (as the seller said!)!!
I read about those type of products. apparently they increase the temp in your exhaust facilitating DPF regen. if it is from a reputable seller they should be ok
Hi BestCarMods. Please I need assistance to deleting my DPF in my Opel Astra. I’m in Ghana. Please if you have an email address I can write to for further information. Thank you
Please is there anyway I could be assisted with the deletion? I’m ready to pay for the services that will be rendered if you refer me to someone. My DPF light flashes and my fuel consumption has skyrocketed
Plzz help me i want tools that tool must be delet and disable dpf, egr, adblue, and dtc so how to get this software or tools plz bro I am not perfect type english sooo soory for my typing
@@meksudmehdi5257 I am not familiar with those brands ... ideally you will be using the same tool that is used to remap engines ... and the remap supplier will send you the files with the DPF EGR and other things deleted as per your request. see if KEss or Ktag are able to do those cars. might be an idea to find a Remap File service company and see what tools they recommend.
@@BestCarMods Cars are not healthy to people or the environment, neither smoke or drugs or fast food or 99% of things we use and enjoy in everyday life. Single ling out and targeting one of the most useful inventions in our society such as cars and making sure it works bad and inefficient its just stupid to be. If the government cares so much about the environment why dont they buy everyone a tesla.
There us a war going on between the manufacturers of cars and producers of Energy to run these cars. There are tremendous benefits to the government if we just dump our conventional cars and just buy EVs This will give them full control over our travel When we travel How far from hone we travel How much this travel will cost us and much much more So, how will they manage to control this EVs need to be plugged in and when we plug them in data is transfered yes I know data is transfered even when we do not plug in I could write a book So please do some research My GOD help us all Amen
Hello Can you tell me if the DPF is mechanically removed from the housing and the catalytic converter is left, does the ECU have to be remapped? And why? and what if it doesn't remap? Thank you
your CAT will continue to work. Depending how strict is the algorithm that the ECU is using to determine the DPF health and condition you will get a DTC sooner or later. The DPF is monitored usually by a differential pressure sensor. Those pressure values will be analysed and used to determine a soot load and ash load. No more DPF -- less pressure difference. Also in time the ECU will check the plausibility of the signal. aka if the engine is working and there is no increase in the soot build up, it will determine that something is wrong. You could, if you wanted, providing you have a decent diag tool to periodically delete the code or see if you have a function of new dpf fitted, process that would buy you some time. By remaping, the DPF monitoring is removed.

If you get this removed entirely, does it not give you black smoke or smoke in general from exhaust? Ibhave beeb told by back street Mechanic to get it removed but officially it's not allowed apparently and call it illegal.
@@HorifficJunoo Black smoke, no, but it smells more like a bus than a standard passenger car diesel. And no, it's not really legal. I don't really care either.
"I had a quote to replace this. Expensive and repetitive. Removed the whole thing, got peace of mind." Unless you live in one of those cities or counties that require inspections and testing before you can renew your registration. Then you would have a vehicle you can not legally drive until you put a new DPF on it. But I have to wonder. Diesel particulates are organic. Strong caustics like lye eat up organics. A bottle of pure lye from a plumbing store is cheap. Put a strong mixture of lye and water into the input side with the output plugged off and let it set there for a while and then unplug the output and see how well it rinses out. Just make certain you wear good nitril gloves and do it in a tub so it does not get onto anything you want to keep, like your hands and your yard. Find the clean out on your sewer line so you can poor all the liquid into that.
Main problem with dpfs is that many people including mechanics.and even dealers don't understand why they stop re genning and that its usually a seemingly unrelated issue causing it.Its possible to have a car with a dpf that does 200k.plus with zero issue's if it's well maintained and driven regularly on decent trips.Diesels were better before dpfs but theres alot to consider before ripping them out
Very informative video! Liked and subscribed🙂 Any idea what could cause a 2010 Audi A8 to smoke a lot and the DPF light to come on from time to time after a DPF delete? The two DPFs had holes made in them and the ECU was remapped.
if the remap process has been done correctly, the car will never show the DPF DTC/light ever again. the smoke issue needs to be investigated. maybe the car is trying to do a REGEN ;)
DPF makes no sense, guys are still cleaning it and dumping the sooth and ash down the drain anyway. Manufactures should make a cheap replaceable filter which could be properly disposed off.
