I think I’ve written this before to you on other reactions you’ve done, but I deeply, deeply appreciate your sensitivity and compassion on the subject of Bipolar Disorder. So many other reactors I’ve seen have viewed it completely as a novelty without thinking about how deeply it affects the daily life of those who deal with this chronic illness. Your statement “I truly feel bad about being so excited about it. It kind of breaks my heart” meant the world to me. I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder after unknowingly living with it for 33 years. The first time I saw “So Beautiful” and “Nerves” I was immediately drawn to it. It was so different and visually depicted things I’ve felt my whole life in a way I’ve NEVER remotely seen before. I’ve always been a researcher so I looked up DPR Ian and learned that he has bipolar disorder. It all clicked and made so much sense. He was so spot on. Although I spend most of my time on the depressive side of things, I thought it was amazing that he could perhaps give people a glimpse of the beautiful yet tortured mind of someone like Christian. My “manic” sides are never exhilarating. I have Bipolar II which tends towards depression and a less intense “hypomanic” state. (Mine is usually extremely uncomfortable inner vibration that makes me want to peel off my own skin, unease, and irritability.) But I like how he depicts the elation while danger and unease is always around him. I had one full manic episode and, while it was fun at the time, it caused damage to some parts of my life because I just didn’t care about anything except feeling invincible. Mania is just as damaging as depression, just in a different way. I appreciate it how he showed that. I also think that it’s important to stress that, while Christian experiences “psychotic features” like hallucinations, a little under half of people with bipolar disorder don’t. I don’t, thank goodness. It’s a pretty common misconception and I just wanted to stress that for everyone who may read this. So yeah, thank you for this reaction. You’re one of my favorites because of your thoughtful analyses.

An absolute classic and another visual masterpiece that I had a lot of fun exploring, though saying that I had "fun" feels wrong. I mean, exploring the visuals here and all of the potential symbolisms was definitely an experience, and this video could've easily been 30 minutes, but I didn't want to repeat myself too much :) As always, these are just my thoughts and theories :)

i think this mv was an introduction to his new character mr.insanity that we saw a bit of in the mito film. unlike mito who represents ian's manic lows, mr.insanity represents ian's manic highs

Hello! I just wanted to explain a little bit of the lore from Ian. So in his world, there are three main characters that we know of right now: Ian, Mito, and Mr. Insanity. So this album is going to pay homage to Mr. Insanity which is the “God” of this world. I’m the beginning of the mito movie, you hear him say “I created you in my image.” And you see the glittery male so that is Mr. Insanity talking about the creation of Mito. Mr. Insanity can be found with the glitter on his face and also his eyes are different colors. Mr. Insanity represents Ian’s Manic highs so that’s why this song is so colorful and seemingly happy but your analysis on the underlying sadness and well madness is so right because as much as a manic high seems alright, it’s still a manic episode which could be potentially dangerous for the person undergoing the scene.

Your reference to the bi-polar art work got me thinking a bit on the video. The scenes with the doctor/dentist could be representing his diagnosis and treatment. Starting as a kid and continuing to adulthood. The other scenes could be him moving through life. With all the video effects representing what it's like for him moving through life being bi-polar.

-I need more. I watched it over and over again just to pick up on as much as I can. The references to some of his past songs were great. I can’t even describe what his visual and audio production does to my ears and mind though.

i just discovered Christian not too long ago and ever since i got into his music, i never really watched any reaction video until two days ago. the reason was because i was afraid the reactors won't really get into the depth of his art that much and i was afraid they won't care too much about the things that Christian tried to convey through, whether the lyrics or the music video. what he talked about in his arts mean the world to me. his vulnerability means the world to me. he saved my life. that's why i don't want anyone dismissed his intention. and that happened almost too many times with reactors here. two days ago, i started watching some reactors reacted to his music and while some of them made me feel a bit relieved, no one made me feel "it" yet until finally i watched you today. all of your reactions to Christian. and man oh man, i can't thank you enough for all of them, all of your reactions. after watching them all, i can say that if there's any reactors who i wish will react to Christian, it's you. his music deserves the best understanding and care from people who can truly understand, respect, and care about this kind of thing. you are one of those people. thank you for being so thoughtful!

Peep back at the film. Mr. Insanity was unlocking different moments in his mind. He’s wearing that same spotted jacket too. The colorful box Mr. Insanity was trying to open almost looks like what got out in this video.

Again he knocks it out the park. I wondered with this as he said in a question that this is a ‘side story’ like a quest in a game that contributes to the main plot. So if I think about it I wondered if he first had the symptoms of his bipolar condition as a kid due to the stresses of common experience like dentist as a kid that was negative. At the time possibly his description put down as being a child but he knew something was different and that from this time on he was more scared of this element of himself? The butterflies are totally a transformative symbol but his almost seem to attack him like wasps. Signalling maybe the negative part of his transition into puberty or out of childhood with the development of the fear and knowledge something was going on but lacked ability to define it. I wonder if a young adult visit to the dentist brought back the memory surpressed as a kid and was part of the trigger then? Then as the video shows like a meteor impact his world is upturned, attacked. We do also see a flash of mito in the start and again in the picture at the end. Sunday morning karaoke and left home so long ago makes me think of the Christian who dreamed of being a singer singing at home and then leaving that behind again makes me think this is the side story of him as a young adult still unaware of his diagnoses but aware of the issue. The wigglin tooth like it’s the thing he’s know for a while that’s wrong but he hasn’t been able to fix it aka himself. Peanut butter and teeth not a great combo for hygiene lol but it’s like sweet and sour being tears cause his symptoms may have caused others who care about him distress and he can’t explain it to them or control it. The 5AM go go teary eyes and folks saying look bad, the idol and trainee life in c-clown where he said himself it was going so fast he couldn’t process anything and on top of it his condition would be triggered by these stressors. His attempt to hide and control it being noticed by those closest to him adding more fear of it being the issue that ruins his hopes and exposes something he was hiding from everyone and still learning about himself. His overly friendly outgoing personality even with strangers part of the facade he created to cope? Being possibly too trusting too quickly? Soaked in glitter, dancing away my feathers, the distraction that idol life gave to be in the positive the all shiney sparkly like a bird finding it’s wings being the part he did love and enjoy or find joy in? But with his open mental state it left him vulnerable to multiple things and ppl that would come to be triggers or catalysts. Being told he’s a stranger perhaps the stigma he faced not being native South Korean and born in Australia 🇦🇺. He did say in interview green was a fav colour but I think it has changed a few times as it does for many as we age and change aesthetic. I wondered if the pink ‘band’ mates were his old group but they were a 6 not a 5, and this would tie in with that time of his life in the cityscapes, with band and pink character companions always in party colourful or city scenes, alike to the busy and peak of his both hyper and happy times but also triggering the transformation and the path to his eventual diagnosis. Catalyst chapter? The journey maybe in the nature and wonder parts because although this was both positive and incredibly intense for him it was part of his path to enlightenment maybe. He opened the door and we literally saw a flash of mito and his future. In seraph we heard Ian say mito was his first and mito saying he will make sure to be his last. The beginnings of a life long battle for balance. He signals (or used to) his status in his profile name so 🌑means full mito and 🌕this is way too happy/hyper 🌓this is balance and so all those moon emoji’s show his balance at the time. It also gives heads up if he is behaving a certain way in a live or interview to explain why so we know and can quickly explain to those freaking out or if he’s going too far it gets him help or support asap from those near. Incredibly brave that he shares so much and through his music and mvs that he takes full handle of because it’s a real limelight on the condition and breaking down stigmas as well as educating too. I am always excited for his content and if this was a side quest I can’t wait for his part 2! So glad you have fallen for his music and looking forward to more content. I think you might enjoy there is mvs where CL featured on his and he physically in hers, they seem like good friends and have chemistry. His MV you’ve seen in no blueberries and hers is 5 Star. Welcome to the show is like a mini song intro to Mito. Memories in disorder is like a mini documentary about the Mito album, something to enjoy off reactions maybe. The physical albums were heat reactive so the heat from your hands would leave prints and change colour. His plans were the colours of each reflect stages and Mito is the red instalment and I think the others were to be green and white but I can’t remember, a trilogy was what I recall reading he was planning for the story arc. 🫐🍦🥜💧💙 Oooh extra thought the picture at the end is of him falling in the sky and the devil hand, assuming mito, lifts a key like a hotel and would link to the hotel like MV scaredy cat where he and mito are in a push pull moment while in a hotel, possibly an experience he had as an traveling idol both trapped by schedule and trying to deal with this whole thing and maintain facade? Ooooh big brain thought there lol 😂 just ideas 🎉all just theories

My interpretation of the green lights, at first they are like rays from the sky that explode in the city and create yhat green wave... And the lights that look like the Northern Lights but they also shoot on the van, they seem to be attacking Mr. Insanity. So i thought maybe it represented Mito trying to end stop him or end him...?
