he explained in his most recent ig live that mito's colors are black white and red, insanity's colors are gold violet and green and the hybrid's representative color is blue, so the blue in ian's eyes (the character who steals the sword is ian not mito) represents the hybrid's influence. it's like the hybrid possesed ian, he tricked him into stealing the sword. we also see mito here but those are flashbacks from when the hybrid himself also tricked mito, that's why mito wants to protect ian from the hybrid's influence bc he lives in the void and maybe by using the sword the hybrid gained power to enter the other side.

I can never understand how dpr can keep outdoing themselves despite being an independent group im sure it's not easy to create such high quality stuff like christian himself said many times they create art just to invest the profits into their next bigger projects and i think that is so admirable .saint has left me completely speechless it feels like an experience everytime i watch it or listen to it

Saint has literally one of the most beautiful and incredible music videos I've ever seen. It's quite hard for me to explain what makes it so special, but it's SOO in my type. I love this man istg.

About the dark side of Arthur or Thor being worthy of the sword/hammer: it made me think of the fact that there are some villains who truly believe what they’re doing is the right thing or the best thing, so if there were a villain who truly and wholeheartedly believed themselves a saint, would that not also be counted by the sword as pure of heart? Because purity of heart often has to do with intentions rather than always making the objectively best decisions (even gods like Zeus have been known to make mistakes and have to redeem themselves) so if a villain wholeheartedly believes they’re moving forward in the best way regardless of anything else, perhaps a sword of power could believe them a saint And that’s not even taking into account that perhaps the sword is looking at Christian as the one pure of heart if he’s being influenced by the hybrid into completely believing that following the hybrid is the best way forward and that could be enough to trick the sword It brings up the question of how to navigate the mess of morality in all its grey-ness. The word might not think Mito is a saint or worthy which Mito himself says in the mv “I’m not a saint” but mito has Christian’s best interests at heart. Mr insanity doesn’t wish harm per se, but he doesn’t have best interests in mind either - he simply wants to exist for good or bad, so where does that put him? And then the hybrid is new, so for all we know they only have themselves in mind and think themselves as superior (after all, narcissists think they know what’s best for everyone and themselves, so if they “know the best way forward” and want to bring everyone else with them, could that be counted as intentions pure of heart?) ((I think the hybrid is also the person in this mv who’s saying “I’m a saint”)) Poor Christian is being pulled on all sides, and not one side seems to be obviously black and white “good” or “bad”
