CONCRETING OF FARM TO MARKET ROAD BARANGAYS STO. NINO-GERALI, GANDARA, SAMAR
The concreting of farm-to-market road for Barangays Sto. Nino-Gerali, Gandara, Samar is currently underway according to the Department of Public Works & Highways, Samar First District Engineering Office,
The project has revised contract amount of Php10.82 M, funded from the General Appropriations Act from 2023.
The structure will span 165 meters long and 5 meters wide of Portland Cement Concrete Pavement (PCCP). The scope of work will also include a 140-meter length of shouldering with 1 meter width, as well as an installation of a pipe culvert.
FMRs connect agricultural areas to the market making it easier for farmers to transport their good to dealers and customers.
These roads also allow farmers to acquire a better price in the larger market for their products.
