@Peter Rabitt I forgot about them. Phytic acid is definitely the root of all evil like they say it is and is responsible for giving people heart disease, obesity, and diabetes.
Dr Lim, that was an inspiring talk. I met you a couple of years ago at a McDougall conference and was impressed with you then. So great to hear from you now.
Dr. Lim, thank you for a great presentation! I'm grateful that you acknowledging that changing one's eating habits IS extremely difficult. I have seven children and prepare multiple meals a day. I cook MUCH healthier than I did 10 years ago, but I still have a long way to go.
Its truly so wonderfull stories - very, very inspiring. The world seems to need this knowledge and practice more than ever. 🙏thank you for sharing 🎶🍀🎵💚
Thank you Dr Lim for sharing your story! You give me hope to stay the course and be an inspiration for my diabetic hypertensive husband who is not interested in this way of eating . Maybe after seeing me have success he will want to change .🌸
I loved Orange Julius. The only way to have eaten those kinds of foods was to starve all the time and then reward yourself. I hate starving, hated then and now. I only eat whole foods now and no meats. When McDougal said, this is "our" food, it all made sense.
When I was diagnoised with Type 2 diabetes I learned about Keto diets (they had scientific papers too) I was fooled for a while it makes me feel better that a Doctor was fooled too.
Bill Davies Dr Lim and Dr McDougall have a video on RU-vid where they talk over video chat about caffeine and they talk about it there! I think it had to do partly with the cholesterol content.
Why's he droning on about all the nasty food he used to eat? I don't understand "whole food, plant-based." It sounds redundant, unless "whole food" means eat the whole chicken! This video is an endless promotion.
Whole foods means foods with minimal to no processing. So an example is an orange. It’s much healthier than the Orange Julius drink he used to consume. The whole foods also need to be plant based, which excludes animal based foods like an egg, a steak, fish, etc.
