@lethiapage4767
@lethiapage4767 5 лет назад
Try blending the scents! Of course it's going to be a matter of taste but you can pair up almost any of the soaps with any other for a new scent profile. Try tea tree with lavender for acne. I also like citrus with eucalyptus and lavender. If you have both peppermint and almond you might pike them together!

@lethiapage4767
@lethiapage4767 5 лет назад
Most Dr Bronners is not antibacterial per se. They absolutely do not contain synthetic chemicals like triclosan (the ingredient in dial and other antibac soaps and dish liquids) nor does it contain alcohol or anything like that? But all soap esp when with comfortably hot water and proper handwashing kills germs or loosens them to be rinsed away from skin. Also essential oils are potent enough to offer antibac properties at full strength but not all oils retain those abilities when they are diluted. The tea tree formula is going to be a proper antibacterial and also anti fungal. So its great for feminine care, acne, dandruff, feet, after workout, hand washing, as a first aid soap, delicates like underwear and workout gear, etc.

I've bought like 3 bottles of this . I use it as a detergent especially because there hasn't been any detergent on the shelf since all of this Thats going on , I add some white vinegar with it and it leaves my clothes smelling so good and gentle enough for all 3 of my kids . I also use it as a body wash , I don't dilute it but , to replenish my skin I use pure shea butter as my moisturizer afterward . I love it ! I will be trying it on my hair next 😊 I just recently threw it into a bottle with some hot water and scrub the walls down in my house , got all the crayon and pencil marks off the wall and left my home smelling amazing. The peppermint , lavender and almond hemp one , are the ones I've tried . all work great ! Oh yeah , great veggie and fruit wash also . gets all the wax off apples. 😊

@lethiapage4767
@lethiapage4767 5 лет назад
The drying was indeed from using way too much. Also I know its a pleasant feeling but lather is never an indicator of using enough product. When I wash my hair with it I dilute about a teaspoon of soap in a quart of water. I use half at a time lathering twice, particular attn to scalp. Then rinse well and use about a tablespoon of ACV to reset the pH in your hair and rinse that very well. The vinegar is not a moisturizer conditioner because the soap doesnt strip your hair. This is the standard instructions for using Castile soap as shampoo. You might need to vary up as we are different ethnicity with different hair types. Be patient and adjust amount and dilution of soap, and frequency of use. There is a learning curve to how you might like it, and there is an adjustment phase for your hair and skin but its a puzzle well worth solving. After a while your hair and skin should respond really well to it and you will like how it feels. It also may change the amount of moisturizers and conditioners you need. Another thing about the Bronners products is that they are fair trade meaning that no human labor was exploited in the making of the soap or its ingredients. They have long term partnerships all over the world and improve the lives of their workers and the communities where they are situated. So if you use the products you are making a big difference in someone's life. And if you use it correctly (because its so concentrated) its very cost effective to keep in your house. I love the soap for all my personal care. I do make my own toothpaste so up not usually that. But I also really love it as a household cleaner. I make a spray for everyday surface cleaning and i mix it into my mop water (not so much that it requires rinsing). Mopping with it is the best way to freshen the air in your kitchen. I blend their eucalyptus, lavender, and citrus together for a beautiful scented soap for cleaning .

@lethiapage4767
@lethiapage4767 5 лет назад
@@buckfuddy489 you are so welcome! Yes i stand behind them proudly. They are my fav company...compassionate capitalism. They seem to have taken the greed out of the money machine which most big business will tell you is impossible. How do you plan to use it? Maybe I can help with getting the ratios right. Also are you going to add anything for scent? The baby mild is superfatted and therefore a bit different from the others. What this means is they add enough oil to saponify with the lye, then more oil is added after the reaction for moisturization properties in the soap. All the soaps also have the glycerin that breaks free during the reaction added back in for moisture. I hope you enjoy this product. It is one of the guilt free purchases you can make in the world. Its also good to know the bottles are 100% recycled and recyclable plastic! If you want to get back to less packaging try the bars as they are wrapped only in paper. However there are zero waste stores out there where you can refill your own bottle of liquid.

Yes. I love this soap. I use it frequently to wash my locs and to shower, BUT ONLY my upper body. Lol. I chuckled when you mentioned about it rolling down to certain areas of your body. But yes the peppermint one is my favorite and it opens up my sinuses when I shower with it. Very tingly.

I have been using this soap for about 10 years now. I dilute it for my hair because of how dry it can get. My curls were popping tho. I use it on my face (I have dry skin) and follow up with olive oil. If you have sensitive skin PLEASE DILUTE IT. My mom gets a rash when she doesn’t because it’s too strong. But this soap is a gem! DO NOT USE FOR LOCS. I REPEAT. DO NOT USE FOR LOCS. It causes build up. Another alternative to this peppermint version is the baby unscented, tea tree or almond. They have so many different types! Hope this helped

I like using Dr. Bronners soaps as a clarifying shampoo, face, hand, & body wash & have been using it since I was a kid. But as the bottle says, be sure to DILUTE! And that goes for all their soaps! I put it in a foaming pump bottle in a 1 to 2 dilution & its perfect. As a hair shampoo, since it does gently clarify (to the point of almost squeaky clean, btw), I feel it's super important to follow it up with a good conditioner (deep or regular rinse-out) & if you have curly hair a good leave-in conditioner, as well. I think this also works super well for people who mostly co-wash, but need a good, **truly effective** but still gentle clarifying shampoo every week or other week (or whatever is your schedule). It will clarify too much built-up protein or moisture treatments so you can start fresh & don't have protein/moisture imbalances. I personally use their peppermint for hair, hands, face, & body; their almond also for hair, hands, face, & body - as well as washing my dog 😁; & their unscented or "baby" soap for washing fresh fruits & vegetables. Their eucalyptus & tea tree is good, too - & would be great for those who need those essential oils for therapeutic reasons for their scalp, but those oils are not necessary for me & just too strong a scent. I've also used their citrus as a dish soap & a gentle de-fleaing soap for dogs with a short, smooth coat. I've never tried their lavender or rose water, just because I'm not into using floral scents on my body.

I am Caucasian with natural hair as well but im sure we have different hair needs. I haven't ever done a hairstyle that I could not massage my scalp etc and I never feared messing up braids etc. But i do know that a lot of African Americans use Castile soap as their shampoo so its safe for natural hair. Its actually perfect for getting into dreads, braids, etc because you are supposed to dilute it to proper strength. It disperses easier when its really watery like that, seeps into those places you don't want to rub and scrub and equally important it rinses clean. Regular shampoo esp the highly moisturizing products that are specific for black hair can be so thick and gloppy that you can't work it through properly or rinse it out properly. But added trivia, as a person who has rather wiry (graying) and dry hair myself I have shopped the "ethnic" aisle before and was very happy with some of the things I have found. I am a label reader and often products formulated for black hair have better ingredients compared to the other products in that brand or price bracket. I think a lot of advertising is unnecessarily divisive...but most black hair care stuff really is different from other products.
