he said, you can't avoid this "all suppressed emotions are out" situation, but when you accept this fact, you don't experience much pain at all. He also said, ignore all external events or thoughts, be it your body or an annoying person, but focus on the energy behind emotions.
You may feel the pain as a pressure at a location in your body. If you feel it at the sacral chakra, the svadisthana for example, you can peel the emotional energy from the thought and allow the energy to rise as bubbles of energy through your body to the ajna chakra and gain insight. The pressure is then relieved and the suffering, which may continue, will be bearable and may lead to further insight.
