Meh, Lets stop virtue signaling. 🥱 17 is only illegal in half the country. In some states the legal age is still 16. 😉 Are we really pretending that there's some magical line where a child suddenly becomes an adult *OR* that there isn't a plethora of 17 year old 304s that have more "experience" than the average 20 something year old guy??? 🤨
Seek help. If you think a 40+ year old man being with a 16 year old romantically is fine because some backwards law allows it, please seek help. Don't come here with that Fresh and Fit nonsense talk. As a 40+ year old man, you should be able to draw the line and a clear line should be when they've just finished school. Its not difficult. Them having experience has nothing to do with it. Why the Hell would you wanna be with someone that just finished their exams? 🧐
What a wierd ass take. Over 20 it's still a bit odd but how old is this guy? This girl was practically a child. Even if the age of consent is 16 there should still be laws that prohibit a 42 year old man from engaging with some one that young it's basically grooming.
I haven’t even watched the video yet but exactly and it’s always the mfs with wives and kids or with some type of status or fame for lack of better word. I’m convinced an abundance of wealth brings nothing but boredom smfh

His response honestly covered everything I assumed went down, after the initial ban in 2020. Likely contacted a minor; Twitch took action. General behaviour after the act was shifty; Mentioned neither party thought they were in the wrong. (It's clear why) It just isn't a shock. The platform was promoting him heavy shortly prior, so it had to have been dangerous to warrant that response. Just not surprised at all.

This must not have been easy to make considering how much u liked Dr. Glad you still made a video to talk about this and stood on business by not defending his actions. Thank you and keep up the hard work. It won't go unnoticed.
To use Twitch Whisper you have to be 18. She lied to Twitch when making her account. Doc never knew she was under 18 but Twitch found out. It's the only logical explanation that leads to the outcome of Doc getting paid out. Twitch was the liability not the Doc. Twitch paid out because they didn't do their due diligence making sure she was 18. If Doc knew she was underage then Twitch would have to notify the authorities and we would all see Doc's mugshot. Doc maybe walking a moral grey area but Twitch is the one that allows minors to use their platform to interact with adults.
Twitch has a lot of answering to do as well, but I'm sure Doc knew. He would have put that in his statement. "I didn't know her age". Then we can be sympathetic to the situation. No way you leave out pivotal information like that when you're about to drop a pipe bomb like that on Twitter.
You had it in the first half, to be fair. The recipient being dishonest doesn't take away from the fact he was sending "cheeky" messages to a girl, as a married man with kids. Like you can try to be fair to the fella and it's obvious why he got paid for the matter, but he is still in the wrong.
If “he didn’t know her age” then you lead with that!! That matters and changes the narrative. And the fact he didn’t say that anywhere in the diatribe he posted, leads anyone with half a braincell to know that he in fact, DID know she was underage.
That's what they all say so if he said that it would look like a desperate excuse. He knows that people are going to blame him no matter what he says. Truth is if he did anything illegal it would have been dealt with by the law. Until we get the full truth i.e text and all, we really have no right to accuse him of anything. But hey, as long as you get views right?.

How can one claim they're not a predator while continuously exhibiting predator behavior? I might have forgiven a one-off where a conversation (for whatever reason it was happening in the first place) went somewhere it shouldn't, but a man in his late 30s having casual inappropriate conversations with a 17 year old girl? Nah, doc, there's no coming back from this. All the flack he's receiving in social media is deserved.
I would recommend watching the latest sidescrollers podcast on this. They got a lawyer and generally seem pretty level headed on this. There's still questions to this as they pointed out and they noticed the minor edits and speculated on that was well. We still have no evidence pointing that he intentionally messaged a minor and the speculation on him originally removing minor may or may not be twitch reaching out to him to omit the word minor because that means Twitch is liable in this situation to a degree since Twitch is suppose to be an adults only platform. Assuming the best he could have assumed the minor was an adult since having an account means she lied about her age. In any case for this scenario to happen it's still a bad look on Twitch regardless, remember they paid Disrespect off and they parted ways meaning Twitch knew some shit was going down and they couldn't just wash their hands of the whole incident without paying for some mouths to stay shut since at least in the eyes of the law they are partially responsible for it happening.
Remember, it's not just rich people with these horrible mentalities. Humans are going to human, for better and worse. We can be the best and the worst to our own kind.
There’s 16 year olds out here lookin like 23 year olds so I don’t put to much blame on him but if he actually knew she was 17 then thts bad, hopefully she lied about her age or sum
I got dissapointed with the Louis CK situation, even more disappointed with his unrepentant attitude when he returned to Stand up... I genuinely believe that those who gain fame and success but lose touch with reality start to act in ways that lack integrity. The losing touch with reality is the key. Unchallenged due to social status, the mind can produce irrational and delusional thoughts that are extensions of their ego. Their actions are heinous, their rationlization even more so. One way to innoculate yourself from these thoughts and actions is to bring these intentions to light in your social circle. Provided your circle are not threatened by your status or power, they have no reason to lie to you. They would tell you that you shouldn't text that minor. Or assault your employee. Or any other corrupt intention that may develop in isolation, or kept hidden due to status and power. At lot of times, that is the reason why actions such as the ones Dr Disrespect is being called for don't make sense. It's irrational for someone of his status to do what he did. But it's precisely the lack of rationality that allowed it to happen. Status , wealth and the privileges that come with it often lead to this kind of irrationality. Essentially, what I'm saying is if we try and stay grounded, involve other people in our decision making and counsel, we are more likely to do right by others and not indulge in irrational selfishness, in all it's possible forms. Aside from this, I appreciate your content Mike
Dr. DisRespect should have NEVER sent any suggestive texts to a minor. Plus, he was married to his wife at the time. There is no excuse for that behavior.
YIKES, i just watched the video where he breaks down after one of his fans tells him that their mother recently passed. then there was that other video where one of his fans tell DD(without knowing its him) that he loves the doc....this puts a bad taste in my mouth like the bill cosby thing, man.
Mike Hollow I share your shame reaction . First of all yes this is disappointing and sad on so many levels I can’t even describe into words. I watched the last stream he did and saw his daughter trying to cheer him up. Prayers to his wife and daughter especially his wife holding Doc down for all these years throughout everything.
The idea of even looking at young teenagers in that way is sicking. It doesn't make any logical sense of humanity's judgment if anyone sees romantic interest in someone under the age of their own 30+ year life of living, thinking of a child or teenager of a love interest is despising on all levels. No matter who it is, they would not question their own morals of their decisions. Those types of people will need mental and medical help. Sadly there are so many people that does this it is difficult to control, and all we can do is try to prevent it in the best way we can. I'm sorry how you feel, never watched Dr disrespect, but he has a very long recovery time from his bad choices.
He cheated on his wife once before. There was definitely intent behind those messages. I feel bad for his family but especially his wife. He keeps dragging her down with his inability to control himself. A lot of people lack the ability to separate the real person from the character they portray in streams or movies.
This situation got me thinking. How much is Twitch is hiding from us? I knows what he did is wrong but what about the ones on Twitch who haven't got caught?
And now just like that his life is ruined. No matter what he does and says from now on, none of it will matter. He'll be treated accordingly. It's not going to matter whether or not he did anything. Even if you were to publicly say that he'd get help, it wouldn't matter either cuz the internet will make sure that you have nothing but game ending yourself. This is disappointing indeed. And the worst part is that his wife and child is it going to be involuntary victims in all of this as well. And as bad as twitch is, they'll be under a lot more scrutiny because they said nothing about this in the first place. And the person who leaked this apparently only did it for selfish reasons in the first place as they sat on this for years and said nothing until it was convenient. You honestly don't know who to really trust anymore as a monster can be lurking anywhere around you and be whoever you least expect it to be.
It is a head scratcher to why this keeps happening. Its no secret fame and fortune can really blur the line of morality for some people who are not ready for it or have been living in it for so long their morals start to loosen 😢after a certain point. But like you said, if you’re a good looking rich guy with a dream job who even if he wasn’t married, there is no shortage of 10/10 gorgeous WOMEN to pick from for him. You see it all the time in Hollywood and in the music industry, male celebrities in their 50s+ with girls under the ages of 25 too.
I had the same level of disappointment when it happened to a lead singer of a metal band As I Lay Dying, the dude was full of steroids to a point he hired a hitman to off his own wife. He got caught, served his sentence, apologizes alot, but I just don’t f with him and his music anymore.
You're a real one Mike. I'm glad you stood your ground and I hope many people do. Even if nothing was done wrong legally, morally it was. I'm not a fan of Doc but just for the sake of people and humanity I didn't want this to be what happened. I'm very disappointed that it was. As an adult especially one married with your own child, you know to avoid these things. Him saying he shouldn't have entertained it, there's way more to it than that my guy. You entertained it for a reason.
15:10 Just wanted to add something , this is the incident that he mention about cheating on his wife back in 2017,this is not a new incident. In the tweet he mention this happen in 2017 , and that's when he came out crying about cheating on his wife. I wonder if she knew that the person was a minor though. I am disgusted and disappointed at the moment, I can't no longer support the Doc anymore.
Dam I never knew that because frankly we can have all these conversations regarding if it was immoral or not about the age difference because it seems perfectly legal on many fronts what he did my main issue is he has a wife and kids while messaging another woman
I’m seeing some people say Dr. Disrespect should have lead with that he didn’t know her age if he actually didn’t know. I personally don’t think it would matter what he said after admitting to talking to a minor, there’s too much of a knee jerk reaction. Most people are going to be stuck on the fact he was talking to a kid in this manner, and honestly that’s fair. Personally I just wanna see the raw twitch whispers to understand the context of the two’s conversations. Did the minor ever make it clear she was underage and he continued to engage regardless? Or did they have the crazy conversations first and then the minor said she was underage? Or was the minors age revealed to him after the ban? Either way Dr. Disrespect is still dirty for participating with another female like this while being married.
In the U.S we operate as every state is their own country it is sad...If adult age is 18, it is suspicious that they just don't make consent 18 as if they secretly want this to happen
They wanna keep it that way bc the criminal justice system is the biggest prostitution ring in the world. They want that money to keep flowing in, even if it means exploiting children/minors. It's a rigged, sick, and shitty system.
I never expected this from doc and the age of consent here in the US is 16 as long as the other person isn't above 18, which doc is. So basically 1-2 years of difference is fine, but not in doc's case. .
Without seeing the messages and the context, I can't conclude if his statement is true or not. He definitely doesn't seem like a pedo but flirting back with a minor fan in this day and age is a huge nono.
Exactly how I felt when raedwolfgamer got caught. The governments and top people don’t really care about this stuff because they are probably doing this weird stuff everyday and worse. My question is where are all these missing kids!
Unfortunately we got the recipts for the claims. I still don't like twitch staff, they usually seem pretty smarmy but direspect was acting inappropriate with a minor and even if legally nothing happened, now he has that stigma tied to him. It's a shame, I didn't really watch disrespect but respected how good he was at what he did.
Funny you mentioned Ben 10. I was gonna say an 18 year old probably doesn’t know Ben 10 or Toonami. At least the OG Ben 10. I see they made an Omniverse in the modern Cartoon Network art style. The older I’ve gotten the more like children people in their teens look like to me. I only really now understand how older people would always refer to me as if I was a young whippersnapper. Never meet your heroes. Never watched the guy though. Lol he had no intentions. Just how stupid do you think we are? You may have seen it already but I suggest watching Basilisk Ninja Scroll. Not “season 2” if you haven’t already.
Hope the e-mail that just came out gets covered. If the e-mail is to be believed... just like some ex-Staff's tweets are to be believed, who tried to market a band's gig in exchange for this juicy info... On Twitch protecting a bad actor... doubt it. The smoking gun's on Twitch's wrong doing is that hastily cut the cord on someone they contracted for tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars... the messages were probably ill-gotten, divulged prohibited-to-share info to 3rd parties uninvolved with Twitch & if they paid the whole contract and settled out of court with the Doc is because they fucked up... and whatever they had on him after banning him wasn't the proof they thought they had... and because they fucked up and they already had taken the action to ban him would make them look bad and they probably were the ones that breached the contract themselves... so it feels like they had to pay him his full contract, and at the same time settled to never bring this to light... because Twitch will probably look the worst party in this situation, because the probably jumped the gun in banning him without solid evidence and trying to get out of the contract. Now on the knowing age part, there's a big difference if he knew the age and if he didn't know the age... because it indicates 'intention', and also this video makes it sound like he's sexting minors in a plural statement... if it was super egregious and a pattern of behavior, doubt it would have taken this long to come out. If he didn't know, well would explain why he wasn't prosecuted for it and if you take 'inappropriate' in the most vague form... cursing & using foul language while not bring sexual context is also considered 'inappropriate'. ...and yes, he's a scumbag for being a cheater but we've known this before even any of this blew out... in fact he's the one that came clean about it before we all knew on stream impromptu while dropping the Doc character, which is admirable in some way, holds himself accountable, and didn't even have to bring this to light... he could just settled it with his family and friends in the background... so that's saying something, still cheated but took accountability when no one was holding him accountable. The e-mail if true would explain very well why Twitch settled out of court and why they paid the full contract, or at least you can speculate why it makes sense why Twitch would do such a thing and keep hush hush about it. If he was a criminal, and they wanted to get out of the contract and separate entirely from the Doc by cutting the cord... I'm pretty sure in a normal world that makes sense, they would be more than happy to make it public, not pay his full contract and show undeniable proof that he's a criminal... who sexted a minor, and the one that breached the contract... simple & clean, perfect goodbye letter and washed off their hands by doing the right thing and outing a predator.... but that's not what happened. Also for the company Midnight to cut him off after working for years with this guy with the looming questions as to why he got banned... and do so called "research"/"investigation" in about what, 24 hours was enough to really separate truth from fiction and cut him off...? ...To me it smells like hasty self-preservation PR tactics like most companies do whenever a celebrity/influencer is "radioactive" in the public eye... I'm going to go with the suspicion that they're just trying to save themselves and did no research... just caved to the public pressure. Would recommend to wait longer to see if more things come out, and see what the whole truth is with all the needed context & nuances cleared out.
I just got one question.Did he know he was texting a minor? women lie about their age Especially girls You have absolutely no idea how many girls lie to me about their age and i'm thinking they're way older And sometimes it turns out that they're way younger than what they're telling so is depends on if he knew Her age or not
Don't you think if he didn't know her age he would have led with that? No mention of that in his statement at all. Nothing. If I didn't know the age of someone and I got caught in this, I'd say immediately. He opened up fully about it, but failed to mention that he had no idea how old she was? Come on, man.
Like Kendrick said "The industry about to get raided too. It's only a matter of time." It's truly a shame when someone as famous as Dr. Disrespect eventually gets outed as a predator
Unfortunately i saw this coming. Just the way dr handled everything and the way he moved about it didnt show any hope. Not to mention his own company heard the story on both sides and didnt agree with his end which is never a good sign 💀. So long doc, would say it was good knowing him but it seems he fooled us all
Lawful but awful. Power can do terrible things to people. Perhaps a side effect of a too tolerant society. These people are deliberate predators because as an adult we know younger people are impressionable. Pair that with a privileged attitude and hornyness they do not care. We should bring back some shame in society.
My theory from when the allegations started was that why doc sued them was because of a privacy breach with twitch whispers and the 17 y/o and since no wrong-doing was acknowledged, They settled to never reveal information about the ban. And it looks like I might be right. The whole situation with the minor dont look good and the age gap is insanely pedo like. However lets not pretend like this situation doesnt happen everyday. For now, I won’t be supporting him till he redeems from this impossible situation.
After looking at lowtiergod and him overtly grooming a 17 year old in a state where 18 is the AoC, I want to see more proof to conclude dude is a groomer or pedo. He may have made a dumb decision but who made first contact? Are there other instances of this happening? I really want to know what he said but at the same time if it got to the point where he was in borderline legal trouble it HAD to have been pretty gruesome (at least you would assume so)
I feel like there is still so much left out exactly how old was she did doc know what is the age of consent he has to adhear to what did the texts completely contain etc etc of its still weird regardless but it can go from kinda weird to very very yikes very fast depending on these factors
Personally never cared for him or his content, but definitely had creators I enjoyed watching turn out to be real bastards. It's tough and a lesson to learn about idolizing people and on their end the influence they can cause. Also semi related note but for the love of god, do not get a tattoo of someone until they are well beyond dead, if at all. Not to you directly Mike, but see it happen all too often.

@@theretrogamingnerd3316 that woman's a creep and shouldn't be allowed to operate on any platform. The things that came out about her are enough to blacklist her from any establishment.

This actually falls on twitch. Rather if doc knew or not is legally inconsequential. Twitch policy is users must be 18 years old or older to use the whisper feature. I’m impartial to this matter btw
If they were in court twitch and doc would be handcuffed together side by side. If they knew it happened or was happening still and didn't say anything until now, in my eyes they bare just as much if not more responsibility bc it's their job to help keep minors and all their users as safe as they can be while using their platform.
I never watched Doc. He got banned before i was able to start watching him. Seeing this is so fucking sickening. I hope he just didnt know their age. But it doesnt look that way.
