Thanks for posting one of the greatest preachers of all time. He's the reason that I would stay up late to watch TBN. We need more like him. Lord knows it's true. I miss his style and way with words. His passion and conviction spoke better than his choice of words and would just captivate me. I miss him so. Here is a better man than most.
I first heard this sermon on Focus on the Family radio show. I was driving and had to pull over because I started crying so hard. I come from a good old baptist background and when I heard his words (later ) of "When the Lord taketh away...BLESS IT!" I could hear the his heart was laid right out on that dais that day! I will never forget Dr. Dobson's words: "For those of you who might be tempted to write or call to complain, don't bother!" And I said AMEN to that!
To God Be the Glory For this great Man Of God. We need more Men of God to be faithful to God as Dr. E. V. Hill, I must say I have a Man of God myself. Which I'm bless to have.
This sermon is available on CD from the Focus on the Family website. As this was featured as part of one of Dr. Dobson's radio programs. One of the most moving sermons I believe I have ever heard! Very good to share this with someone going through loss of a loved one.

I didn't know he died. I loved his preaching the first time I heard him on the radio. Can't remember what program and then I found him preaching on TBN. God bless the Hill family

Wow I was here! I think it was Trinity Church. I know it was on Jefferson . I drove 70 miles to pay my respects. This was some day. I was at the top of the church it held a couple of thousand. I barely got in. Wow. I think this was 87 or 88. Wow.
Do you have Dr. Hills sermon "I DON'T WANT TO GO TO HELL"? If you do please post it. This sermon will help to save a lot of souls for the kingdom of God...
This audio is missing much of the good parts , I've heard the original sermon many times , and this version uploaded by kenobi58 has been shortened . The full sermon can be ordered from "Focus On The Family" .
My mom was the pianist at Mt. Zion. Little Marvin Gaye sat on the piano bench with her as his mother directed the chior. If I have the location straight.
Allowing the Word Of God to answer the question "should a woman preach." I think you will be surprised by what the bible says about this subject. An there is nothing biblically we can do about it! and I did say biblically !
