He’s unprotected. We hope he’ll keep his mask on while 90% of the kids aren’t wearing a mask. He needs to be in school…he should be able to be there safely.

I know kids need to be in school, but there is no way I would send my child to school if he/she is not vaccinated. Being in a classroom with other kids (and teachers) who do not wear masks and are not vaccinated, there will be no child that is safe from this variant, which is twice as contagious as the alpha variant. Maybe until that happens, you can home school your child.
This guy was involved in using US federal money to generate viruses in the lab to see how bad the virus could get in order to patent a vaccine. I’m catching public transportation and since school has started, these unvaccinated kids are packed on these buses like sardines in a can. There’s absolutely no safe distance. I’m really praying for these kids.
There is something to be said for that. I have taken the bus once or twice at the 'wrong' time, and I was truly shocked by how many children were packed together. It shouldn't be allowed, but what is a lone bus driver to do? They already are being insulted and assaulted more than enough as it is.

Here in Singapore kids have been back to school for a very long time. BUT - 80% of the population are fully vaccinated and *everyone* legally has to wear masks in public, and yes in school. Over 80% here in Singapore, in the middle of a really bad spike now. Both vaccinated and non-vaccinated are getting it, but the vaccinated numbers are less than you would expect them to be based on population sizes - *but* I worry there are more cases out there not being caught as they are more likely to not have any symptoms at all, but they can still pass it on even at a lower rate. Thats with far more strict and stringent testing and tracing than in the US.
I wish Biden would undo Trump giving control of the pandemic to the governors and have a national plan. We would be in much better shape with one action plan than 50 different opinions and politicalizations. :(

Many presidents had viruses that could've turned into pandemics and one that did. They handled it with research funding and working with the FDA, CDC and other countries. We had real leadership. I deliver for Shipt and for the first time today I had an order from a first time customer who informed me that she and her children had tested positive for covid and were ordering items to use while they quarantine (coloring books, legos, markers, sketch books). Normally I just deliver food items, and occasionally other items such as the aforementioned items from target.
Maggie if you don't have a problem wearing something that many people in the medical field (including many doctors) have admitted is basically useless (unless you wear a certain type of mask n95 or one similar to n95), go ahead and wear one ... or two, or however many you'd like to wear, but most folks who have decided that they aren't going to wear them, don't like them. Not only are they useless, most folks aren't able to breathe well and they can actually cause health issues if you wear them too often. The bottom line is yes the virus exist but it is and has been extremely exaggerated for political reasons. The latest reported mortality rate is it extremely low 0.08%, which means is that you are much more likely to be killed in a car accident the next time you are going to the grocery store, then to die of covert. US numbers per CDC: The average Covid-19 fatality was age 78. *80%* of deaths are 65+ and just 1 in 14 are under 55. The average number of comorbidities (heart and lung disease, obese, etc) is *2.4.* So the overwhelming majority of covid fatalities are both elderly AND range from very unhealthy to very ill.

I didn't get vaccinated until July. Until then (and now after) I have worn my mask, have had the luxury to only go in public for necessities, have socially distanced and have NOT hugged anyone who doesn't live with me. If I end up infected and die, I'm gonna be a vengeful spirit!
It should still remain a choice to be vaccinated or not. My brother has his second dose Wednesday morning and was found dead Wednesday evening/night. I was already told by the doctor not to take vaccine because I have a history of blood clots and I have already had family members to suffer major complications after second dose of vaccine with blood clots heart issues etc.
I'm a stroke survivor. I have a history of clots and have had no problems. Yes, I caught covid on a school bus, but I wasn't sick bad enough for hospital. The vaccine helped me

Huge recent study out of Israel, involving 700,000 people divided 3 ways. Unvaccinated with natural immunity,vaccinated with two shots and vaccinated with one shot. The study says that the unvaccinated with natural immunity is 6x better than the vaccinated and the vaccinated are now way more likely to spread the virus. Also, the Cleveland clinic ran the same study and their study showed the same. There are more studies coming out fast as possible.
Like small pox? You're never going to eradicate a flu or cold virus like we did small pox because, like covid, it mutates too fast to work and the shots we are giving do not provide immunity.
