One book written by a once much better known American author and psychiatrist , Dr. Erich Fromm, himself self described as a socialist humanist, this book titled " The Sane Society " ( circa 1955 ) did describe American capitalist society as objectively SICK with reference to core " human nature ". I read it when I was about 20 years old in the late " Tumultuous Sixties ". Later convinced that I was living in a SICK society ( an easy thought in the year 1968 ) , I found deeper understanding in the works of Marx , Engels, Lenin, and Leon Trotsky. Even in the very " progressive " social philosophy of the Catholic Church. If anything American capitalist society is only sicker than it was in the Vietnam War era. I remain an independent democratic socialist. What would Dr. Fromm think of Joe Biden and Donald Trump ? Of a society so sick that it has neglected to abolish nuclear weapons- which will definitely end human civilization on this planet ?

So you wonder how people do not get ill after being gone through abnormal circumstances… money makes the world go round.

Well UK wise a recession since I left school and another one apparently. We barley got out the first. The threat of conscription and world war 3. The society having less emphasis on family and more immoral and immoral culture leaders. Trying to understand all this woke stuff but they have over sexualised music videos everywhere. Yesh though, not much to look forward to the way i see it currently
