Pruitt Taylor Vince has the condition known as horizontal nystagmus, in which his eyes move horizontally back and forth on their own. If you watch him in Identity (2003), I find the condition to be shown most prominently, as he has a close up scene in that movie.
According to the show he can speak Russian; Hindi; Mandarin; Portuguese and Spanish. So yea I could most definitely see someone that worldly and smart to be extra petty for that sake.
I love the mental states of some of the patients in this show. This is easily one of my favorites. He’s very defensive and in denial because he hates himself so much for what he’s done to his body. He knows he’s not going to live past 50. He reminds me of myself. If I ever would become fat, especially as fat as him, I’d pretty much be his clone.

If I remember right I believe this character ended up having cancer. I remember this episode starting out with an apartment fire, and he slept through the whole thing
I just finished re-watching the show a few months ago and I can confirm that’s pretty much exactly what happened. The firemen thought he was dead until they tried to remove him from the apartment. Gave them all a heart attack when he woke up.

Ok, he was found in his home by all appearances dead, then they noticed he farted and realised he was alive and comatose, not joking. He was brought to the hospital and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong because by all accounts, aside from his weight, there was nothing wrong with him and being obese doesn’t cause a coma by itself. They run as many tests as they can but his weight makes a number difficult, he wakes up during an MRI which breaks the table. They tried to figure it out they ruled out clots, internal bleeding and STIs. His blood results and hormones were all completely normal. They reluctantly discharged him. He collapsed on his way out of the hospital, they think it’s a tropical parasite he got from imported food and because his weight prevents regular testing they drilled a hole in his head to run a test after which he went blind and was panicked and furious since he never wanted the tests. They go back to the diabetic theory despite the normal blood glucose levels. Eventually House notices his fingers are clubbed and the fat was hiding it. Eventually they diagnose it as a very late stage lung cancer, which had spread and was responsible for the coma and blindness, and he has at best months left, even with treatment.

@@SaraMorgan-ym6ue that’s all I can do is only imagine how unbearably miserable and painful that must be, it’s actually scary the level of delusional you have to be to convince yourself your fine, and or your healthy when you can’t even walk and do the most basic things. From just being out of shape I get out of breath and winded so easily and sweat so much from doing almost anything and just having a little bit of belly fat it’s uncomfortable you sit down and your belt punches your stomach when it hangs like man I can’t imagine being 300 let alone 900 lbs!!! People trying to promote this body positivity stuff are straight up evil telling these people they are healthy, IM NOT even healthy and no where near that much out of shape!!🤦♂️ Tragic and infuriating when people literally enable and support people to be so extremely overweight/unhealthy/anorexic, etc.

I don't have diabetes I didn't have high blood pressure or high cholesterol until I lost over a 100 lbs I didn't have blood pressure issues or cholesterol issues until I lost the weight. I went from 370-ish to 275 I was miserable lost my breath from just walking from my front door to my car and my car to entrance door at my job my joints hurt but my joints were hurting even before I gained all that weight oh yeah now I got diagnosed with gout so I gotta take gout meds the rest of my life or could develop cancer or liver failure so I have that going for me

I think it’s crazy how people normalize alcohol consumption and smoking yet try to promote health and working out. In my opinion, if you smoke or drink, you might as well not exercise either. You’re just going to die of cancer, obesity, cirrhosis, high blood pressure, heart disease, or a stroke because of the stuff you put in your body
They did this guy dirty, they ripped his wall down, made fun of him, drugged him, blinded him by drilling into his brain, then told him he will die in a few months.
He had cancer. And he refused, violently, to be tested for issues that could come from his weight. He was quite the hypocrite, he kept saying that his weight wasn`t the reason he was sick, but didn`t want it to be tested either.
no he was that fat, but what ends up killing him had nothing to do with his fatness (and part of the tragedy is that they tried to make his fatness be in some way directly or indirectly, the reason they missed other avenues)
Jennifer Morrison had to deliver to hom his diagnosis as being tetminal. He was lying on hid side when told and was devastated. I just saw this episode on Roku last week
“I’m not miserable, I’m just overweight” Brother, when you’re THAT overweight, you’re miserable. You’re bones are literally straining against you’re flesh, it’s physically impossible not to be miserable when you weigh that much. You might not hate you’re body image, but you absolutely suffer physically.

Like this patient. His conditions isnt due to his weight, and hes fat because.... he just likes food! No giant reason just he enjoys all the flavours food can give
