I will say he was a very good character, though I feel like the script writers and directing did him dirty🥺Every time he was becoming happier and closer to his goals, they'd throw a plot device wrench in his life to make him all moody, tempermental, and dark humored again, bless his fictional heart.
There are countless hilarious Hodgins moments, but one of my favorites is when Angela goes into labor and all he can yell is "OKAY, BABY. OKAY, OKAY, BABY!!"
right? now if only I can find a guy like that in real life. His intellect, sarcasm, sense of humor and depth of sincerity when courting Angela in the early seasons had me going back and forth between him and Booth. Don't get me wrong, Seeley is fine as hell and your typical knight in shining armor fantasy but Hodgins. He'll make life so much more fun, adventurous and interesting.
Sign me up for the "experiments" as well. Because, if there is anything that Hodgins and Mythbusters can tell us about science, it is that science is capable of great amusement. With combustion when one least expects it.
I love those ZZ Top scenes. Hodgins is usually very put together (ok he can be a bit too excited when doing experiments) but the sight of his father-in-law turns him into a blubbering awkward teenager 😂
Rewatching the show after YEARS of it slowly disappearing from my memory haha. Jack was my favourite and coming in fresh, it's exactly the same. Hodgins is underrated as hell and is the one I'd be friends with at the jeffersonian (except Daisy, Sweets and Angie)
1:45 (s6,e15) after that hodgins said something along the lines of he can name his child that but his child will be Micheal Joseph or Katherine TEMPERANCE nobody noticed it and- the fact that if they hadn’t discussed that or something and he considered Brennan- is just- AHHAHHAHBJXIE 🥵
Ramen Noodles I would agree with you if the music wasn’t quite so loud. It makes the audio a bit messy when background music is at or above the level of the dialogue. I don’t mind the music itself, just the levels.
