@Patrick Montgomery So there wasn't any Christians for the first 1500 years from the time of Christ until the time of reformation?

I love the part when Dr. Bergsma told us to use the rosary beads for adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication. This just gives me an idea to practice this every morning since I really can't concentrate praying in the morning.

bemoan the culture of death- great line..this is something that all the remnant faithful can fall victim to.. Our Lady of Grace, Protectress of the Faith, Refuge of Sinners, pray that we might be made worthy of the promises of Christ and experience the Joy of the Most Blessed United Hearts

@26:56 You're correct Doctor. That's how God wants us to do because that is God's Permitting Will. Isaiah 45:7. "I form the light, and create darkness ; I make peace, and create evil ; I, the Lord that do all these things. " Amos 3: 6 "Shall there be evil in a city, which the Lord hath not done?" Just as if he had said, there is no evil which God does not do, by permitting the evil of guilt, and by ordaining and working out the evil of punishment. (2Kibgs xii : 11, 12) St. Augustine said: In this way God instructs good men by means of evil ones.

Christ was born at midnight. That's why Traditional Catholic Church Mass of the Latin Rite always celebrates the Nativity of Jesus when the clock strikes at midnight .

29:40 Something like this occurred to me after reading Acts. There were two ways the early Christians could've brought the Gospel to the Roman and ethnic leaders. They could've started schmoozing with the lowest-level provincial officials, doing favors (nothing degrading or immoral, of course) and trying not to get on the bad side of any bureaucrats, and worked their way up slowly, if fortunate, to the court of the local ethnarch, maybe even of the Roman provincial governor. There they could drop hints (again, trying not to make anybody mad) to the B- and C-list civic leaders about the upsides of this illegal new religion that they might or might not belong to. If everything went just right, the higher-ups might be convinced after several years of schmoozing and flattery and hints to take a softer line on Christianity, at best make it legal. God willing, one or two might even convert to Christianity. There are a couple people who were in a position to do this - Esther in her time, Herod's steward Chuza and his wife Joanna, "the saints of Caesar's household," and the Christian doctor who took his life in his hands and convinced the emperor Galerius to end the last Roman persecution. But there are all sorts of opportunities to sin or back off along the way -- St. Augustine tells a story about two friends of his who read the biography of St. Anthony, decided that this path through the imperial court was too uncertain and morally dangerous, and left to become monks. The second way to evangelize the judges and governors would've been to get arrested and quickly brought before them for trial, where for justice' sake they would've had to listen to a detailed argument (inspired by the Holy Spirit) in favor of this "Christianity" thing. Much riskier, and success is not guaranteed; but St. Paul got to do it in several cities, last of all Rome. My thought is - don't look for trouble, but don't get discouraged if people try to bring it to you. Last Beatitude.

I’m pretty sure Christ would be happier with us getting some political ideals from the late Rush Limbaugh versus the abortion happy pro-gay NPR for example.
