Dr Berry along with Paul Mason, Sten Eckberg, Ben Bikman, Bart Kay, Jason Fung, Peter Attia and others put me, at 60 years old, back on the path to metabolic good health. Low carb, one or two meals a day, intermittent & prolonged fasting, mostly animal based, no seed oils & enjoyable exercise. I can't thank you all enough👍😀
Dr Berry is the reason I have no diagnoses, no prescriptions, and I've lost 51 pounds in 7 months. I'm eternally grateful. (I am also an intermittent faster most of the time.) It's a new day.
I've noticed that the AMA keeps changing the "standards" for blood pressure A1C, cholesterol etc every time pharmaceutical companies come out with a drug. We know the pharmaceutical companies, AMA, FDA and USDA are all in each others pockets.
I call it a conspiracy theory. Isn't lowering the target numbers a good thing? People tend to do the bare minimum. I was dismayed at the bp standard having been lowered to 120/80 until years later when I was able to achieve it with 22 lbs of weight loss and five hours a week of cardio. That had nothing to do with big pharma. I happen to still be on meds for it. Why that is, is nobody's business. Some people have genetically high bp, glucose or cholesterol
At 65years old, being on carnivore for a year, my whole body improved,, lost 60 lbs of fat,no more inflammation, skin and hair improved and I'm much happier
I'm a few months from 60 and started carnivore 7 weeks ago. It's amazing how much better I feel, how clearer my mind is and how I can for the 1st time easily recognize how some foods cause things like brain fog. I wonder as I sit at the end of my professional career, what more that I could have achieved feeling this good.
@@dahof2789 I am 75, Carnivore for 2+ years and have never felt better in my life.. I wish I knew about this WOE many years ago 😪 But now I can live the rest of my life pain and disease free!😊
@@Khan87-Kht For me, it's simple. Bfst - 2 or 3 eggs w bacon, Lunch - snack on clean meat sticks and cheese (many times I forget to eat lunch) and dinner a 1 lb steak with GF butter. Easy Peasy. It's cheaper to eat this way too because nothing goes to waste.
Ken Berry is a hero. I've been following him for 5 years and I'm convinced he's on a mission to change the world. He really wants people to get healthy. I got healthy with his help. My depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder got way better after doing beef, butter, bacon and eggs for a year. I wouldn't have done it without his videos.
@@souldesire5932 You don't think they might actually have tried the "actual healthy diet" stuff? Most of us have. We've been cutting fat, increasing fibre, for decades... people are getting fatter and sicker. CVD is increasing, autoimmune conditions increasing, Alzheimer's increasing. There is a direct correlation between the drop in availability of meat to the average person since the 70s and the corresponding explosion of diabetes type 2. It's a matter of historical fact that the sugar industry paid off Harvard 'scientists' to fabricate data that would blame saturated fat and cholesterol for heart disease and distract attention away from the real culprit: sugar. One of those paid off Harvard shills became the head of the USDA, the very same which issued their phony 'declaration' on cholesterol. The same people who've convinced you what constitutes an "actual healthy diet." You've been lied to.
@@islaadele1212 I'm in the health science and natural medicine space and am a nutritionist. I'm probably the last person that would warrant the generic, you've been lied to statement. We have a large enough body of evidence, though I certainly know much of it is pain for a biased. However, the complete and utter lack of discernment and honest research in this community is insane, I mean it's literally insanity. Forget cholesterol, I know about the so called scam of cholesterol from the start of it to sell drugs. However, many studies still show certain correlations, but it's not a super important parameter. The falsified studies can no longer be used as scapegoats because of the explosion of data and science we've had in the last 10+ years. I love meat and am pro-animal based generally, but this community has no balance or understanding in it's thinking. It literally believes every phyto-compound from every plant is toxic, harmful, and useless. This is a gross lack of understanding and it's dangerous. It discounts valuable medicine that is plant-based that helps a lot of people. I've seen Dr. Chafee and others giving such poor advice to people struggling on this diet having many issues and his answer is almost always eat more fat. It's irresponsible and lazy to blow off literally thousands of studies that disprove so many of the beliefs going on in this community. Ken Berry pushes pork so much, US pork and pork in general has many identifiable toxins, though I eat it from time to time. Too much sugar is bad, but also low-carb and ketogenic diets have SERIOUS issues in multiple studies, there's something problematic that occurs in the body.
I got back from my eye doctor exam, and got good news from my results. I told him I can read a newspaper at arms length, and he said he didn’t have anything to do with it, I was just lucky! I’ve been carnivore since August 8! Luck was finding this channel! So far my waist went from a 52” , hanging over, to a 44”, getting loose! No more feet swelling, and lost over 30 pounds. Still reading books on different diets, and who approved them, who paid for the research, and size of the participants! What an eye opener! I think the book was called “the big fat surprise “.
I have been watching Dr. Berry's videos for a few years and one of the things I most appreciate about him is his understanding that many patients cannot afford grass fed and finished meats and all kinds of expensive supplements. Thanks Dr Berry!
Through my 30’s and 40’s started gaining weight all my inflammation markers started to increase eating the SAD and lots of it but the whole time I’m thinking I do not need this much food! Then at 52 started fasting, in order to get to OMAD I had to go KETO in order to feel satiated and make it 24 hours without food. The whole time getting exposed to all our great KETO, carnivore and fasting doctors on RU-vid who were explaining how to fix yourself! Now retired at 58 years young im mtn biking, hiking 14’ers in Colorado, running a ranch on 0 to low carb OMAD for hopefully another 58 years!
Dr. Berry, you and other carnivores have given me my life back at almost 72!! I'm no longer type 2 diabetic, fibromyalgia pain and chronic fatigue syndrome are minimal, pain from 5 spinal fusions is minimal, anxiety and depression are gone! Off 7 of my 11 long term prescriptions and reducing the remaining ones! Off metformin, Prozac, antiinflammatories, gabapentin for nerve pain, one blood pressure med, sleep meds, etc. God bless you for ALL the help you have given me!! Love your Southern humor in this! I'm in North Alabama!! This way of eating is NOT a fad! And it is spreading fast!! Would be spreading faster if THEY would quit lying to us so much and trying to keep us sick!! Love you and Neisha!!
This is my kind of brother!!! A few years ago my hunting and fishing team went out in the woods for 2 weeks survive only on what we caught, butchered and ate All Meat🥩🦌🐗🐟🦆.. Not one Plant🌿 was Violated😂 because that PLANT FOOD belongs to what we Hunt!!!!..
Ah, the "Your food is what my food eats" truism. That was mostly what we ate when I was in the Boy Scouts (in the 1980's, when it was still the BOY Scouts) and we were lean, sharp, and strong as a consequence.
Dr. Berry I enjoyed your lecture. But you should know that what is happening in the human food is also happening in dog food with Purina claiming dogs are not carnivores and need carbs. But many vets disagree and I did put my dogs on a carnivore diet and I immediately saw changes. Shinier, thicker, softer fur, more energy, better temper and smaller poop. Pet food is a billion dollars business and their customers can't complained. Don't feed your dogs with this crap if you love them.
He'll be more than aware - in the suggested videos to the right, I just saw his collaboration with Travis Einertson, where the focus is on pet food and whether kibble is good for cats and dogs. I haven't watched it yet but might do - not urgent for me as I have no pets. I'm guessing the answer is 'no' because of the grains. I just thought I'd let you know.
@@davidwelday3276 If you are going to cook the meat, you MUST add taurine back in. This is ESPECIALLY important for cats who are obligate carnivores. Taurine is easy to get, Amazon or anywhere. I totally understand not trusting supermarket meat to feed raw, but cooking can destroy the taurine that they need, so be sure to add it.
Me Too Thank you @64 I’m healthy only because I was unwilling to accept pre diabetes. No. I looked outside the box and found so much great information. Fasting 16 hrs minimum. Eat 2x a day only small amount of carb once a day. Lots of meat, eggs , pork butter. I’m becoming clearer in my mind and my memory is inproving. I’m retaining more. Way more productive energy. Thank you
I appreciate the shout out to small local farmers. It would be super awesome to see the regenerative agriculture, soil conservation, and climate scientists(those who have overcome their fear of cow farts) communites join together with all PHD advocates to educate and lobby together. Bring the story full circle.
Don't neglect the protein that swims in fresh and salt water. Blackened (salt, salt, salt) crusty redfish is good. Or that quacker that flies, because duck is really tasty.
I am so happy to be able to see this wonderful man that tells the Truth about the food. I recommend him to all who ask me what I have done for my weight loss. I tell them that I wanted my pain gone. It worked so well. The weight loss was a plus.
I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing. A carnivore diet can be okay in the short term, especially for treating type 2 diabetes, but in the long run, it's very unhealthy. There are many scientific studies to prove this, and yet the quackery continues.
I am almost 79 years old. Male and I watched many health videos, and I admit I am very biased toward the carnivore diet. The reason I am biased is because when I eat carnivores, I feel better. I live with my own personal golden rule; nothing tastes good enough to feel bad, so I mostly eat beef, water, and salt. Taste pretty damn good, and I really believe I could out run 95% of the people my age. Even though I've stated I watch many health videos, the one that I always come back to is Dr. Berry. Why is that? Because the things that he puts out they just freaking work!
Dr. Berry, I would LOVE to see you do an interview with Dr. Joseph Mercola. I have followed him for many years, and he used to be a proponent of keto, but it seems now he's changed his tune based on some research he's come across. His new opinions are confusing many of us, and I'd love to hear what you have to say about his new arguments that eating low carb long term is unhealthy. Please, if you can, arrange an interview with him! TIA
I dont know but Ive been plant based in the past for a year, pescatarian, paleo for the longest and I just recently did the switch to mostly meat. I'm feeling way better than I was on Paleo. All of my allergies have also calmed down a TON.
Doctor mercola has been traumatized by the government for years. And he has unfortunately changed his outwardly Tune a little bit too confuse us, or perhaps to confuse the deep state, whatever the case but I am reluctant at times to listen to what he has to say because he is now. Bought and paid for.😢
I've just discovered the carnivore diet and was very surprised to learn how you are rarely hungry. I've never felt so satiated in my life. Never hungry in the morning anymore. Barely eating two meals a day. This is awesome. I came to lower my A1C level and am now also staying for the weight loss. 12 days in, 6lbs down. Loving it! ❤❤❤
Thankyou Dr Berry for making my life so happy and healthy again. I finally found a way to have the body I’ve always struggled to keep after turning 50. Carnivore diet is the only thing that works for me. No medication, no health issues no anxiety or depression. I’m forever grateful to you Dr Berry. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great presentation as always, Dr Berry. Let us know when you’re coming over to the UK, I would love to come and hear you speak and bring others in my family ❤
Dr ken Berry thank you for saving my life and others keep fighting the big food company are not going to be happy but not everyone will take it on board you take care and thank you again Trevor from England
Hi Trevor! I noticed you were from the Uk also. I'm really struggling to speak to anyone around me who has even heard of this. I even ask the butcher thinking surely one of his customers might of mentioned it 😅 This is the only time I regret coming off fb a few years ago. Could use a fb group right now just to keep me sane lol
@@thelmahenriques6454 he’s brilliant. I’ll listen in between curse words. Words not directed directly at you shouldn’t offend. Especially if the one cussing is trying to save your life!!
BRAVO! Great PowerPoint. Third year of my paleo journey low carb diet and activity. Age 68, A1C 5.2.... Feeling bullet proof, I don't dread getting older. What a gift. BTW. No Rxs, ever I hope. 💪🙏
You have to love Dr. Berry for always telling it like it is and his no nonsense approach 20:12, 21:15. Much respect and love ❤ for this doctor who gives us all free 1:1 video consultations for almost every health ailment under the sun.
That was excellent ... and fun to listen to! Possibly preaching to the choir (this is a low carb conference, after all) but a thoroughly convincing sermon. Thank you!
Yeah I have to be careful eating sugar now. I feel sick if I have just 1 teaspoon too much. It kinda freaks me out the amount of sugar I consumed a year ago. Great content. Thankyou. Subscribed 👍
Look for functional med doc. Other states have telehealth..they will send u to get labs locally and will receive results and go over them with u on phone..zoom etc
@@anne-marieamos3485 Hello Ann Marie, do you have a link to that video? I’m having a hard time find it. And the worst time trying to find a good doctor, thank you in advance 🙏🙏🙏
I remember as a child my parents brown and ground beef for what would have been spaghetti sauce. If I could get away with it, I would stand at the stove and eat it right out of the pan. It tasted so damn good! Thanks for helping me remember that.
You just surfaced a memory! We used to stand at that stove eating mouthfuls of salty, fatty ground beef and alternate it with nibbles of butter. Mom got so mad about tooth marks in the butter 😂 we'd eat that beef before it was all cooked, it was so good!
Hi Micheal, how's it going? I'm stuck in the same boat. I'm the only one at home doing it. I think they think I'm bonkers. I have to watch these videos to keep reminding myself why I need to do this 💪
We don’t have to go back millions of years either to see what was healthy for humans. We lost our way on food just a little over 100 years ago. Before that most people ate real food. Back then our diet way less grains and zero factory made fats. Problem with todays foods like Dr Berry says, all fruits have been bred to be full of sugar and all grains are GMO and at least in the US, probably should not be consumed at all when you discover how much glyphosate is used in processing it. Meat is the closest to PHD today.
The ancient egyptians ate non gmo, organic wheat and their health was awful. Dr Berry often talks about it. See his latest interview with Dr Michael Eades. Humans shouldn't be eating grains at all.
I honestly think this is why most children, when very young, have no interest in vegetables. Their bodies still know what it's supposed to eat and what it's not supposed to have. Sadly, in response, we've filled them up with grained-covered deep-fried meat, breads, and other carbohydrates and sugars. I grew up eating roasted chicken and broiled steaks, and very few veggies, and a fruit once in a blue moon... and until my mother started to bring more and more sweets into the house, I was a naturally slim child.
👁👁 Hey Doc. I'm starting my journey this week. I thought about doing straight carnivore, but have decided to do ketovore to begin with, then maybe move to carnivore after a bit. My main goal is to feel better, have more energy, and gain a few pounds. I'll gladly take any other benefits that show up. Senior lady, a bit underweight.
Dr Hero !!! This was a great presentation with the right balance of information and giggles ! Love the ending 'Stop it! Just come and say hi' !! I have been a carnivore for 80 days now !! perfect health !! feel unreal !! :-) superpower !
Yea its very hard to convey to people that feeling sort of crap have become normal. Like being constantly little drunk, functioning feeling sort of ok, and being in that state for so long you forget how normal feel. The alcohol metaphors sort of work.
