do you know what is so sad.it seems things have gotten a little better with race relation in America.but has so far to go. I never knew dr king but I think he may be ashamed of what was going on now.it seems like his death was all in vain.charlotesville for example.
You should have known them Sister, they are white sycophants who av always been jealous of us because of the way we were created with natural satisfaction in all aspects of nature. Our bodies don't ripped off like bingo wings. We are the original people on this earth that's why mother earth comfort with all weather. Black is greatest
I love being Black, too mr. Joseph. Continue to be positive toward all women and men, regardless of their color. Somehow I believe this is truly Dr. King's message.
The late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. speaks his mind before his last days with us in 1968! It seems like the more dangerous it got for him during those few months before his assassination, Martin Luther King had gotten more bolder and more stronger in his speeches! He didn't fear any man !!!!!
It's not a coincidence that once he began to speak bolder and stonger as you put it about Black awareness and pride that his assassination wasn't too far off...
This is the Dr. King mainstream media doesn't show. They've watered down who he truly was. He was a black man. He fought for the rights and dignity of his people. He believe in equality and justice. He spoke out when many were silent. He was not only a great speaker, but he was about action. He creatively protested against bigotry and discrimination from the white establishment. He came to the aid of his people across America and lead peaceful demonstrations across the south where the harshest proponents of racism were. He was brave and courageous in the face of violence and death. And there are many more things that could be said about this great man. It is up to us to tell the real truth of who he actually was. If we leave it up to America, in a few hundred years, he'll be a white man who tried to help black people.
Ha. This is the truth… the re-arranging of history is an ongoing sport for many of em. True history stings too much, so they re-arrange while putting themselves in a savior light… yet again. Sick and pathetic.
@Paul Lunsford you really think king would agree with you? You're using the word "fucking" and cant even spell the four letter word damn or even the 2 letter word in? I'm pretty sure MLK would be more upset that the party of gay marriage and abortion has made him into thier mascot. Both sides use him, and I think he'd still publicly denounce both while quietly voting Republican if he voted.
@Paul Lunsford That word is a prime example of 😈's changing words. Negus on the continent of Africa means KING or Ruler. Devils in America changed it to mean the opposite 🤔.
La Femme Italienne I would. And by the way, I know Italian. I AM Italian. And, hole? You're no Italian. The closest you get to being Italian and being on the other side of the Mediterranean.
The speech's central message is "Black people, lift your head up and disregard the lies and sinister plots that have been said and laid against you. Do for yourself and be self independent of those who have rigged the system against you." Be self sufficient, independent, be an entrepreneur. Be proud of who you are, what you look like, and where you come from."
You don't know how much I love this guy so much always have since I was a kid and never even knew he was from my clan, his passion, his honesty, his strong spirit, his good nature, his fight for justice, amazing x
WellI am white and I am crying over how beautiful this speech was and still is. I grew up in the 50's and '60's in NYC. And I can tell you, that the black community, with all it's great leaders, HAS OVERCOME!! THEY REALLY HAVE. They are all brilliant and successful and artistic and educated and King would be so proud. Congratulations Black America!!
Think about this. This country has brought so much evil upon him, but he still loved it. He wanted a better future. He understood that he's not fighting for himself, but for this country. He built America to be what it is now. Dreams+ work= impact, ownership and victory
l have a lot of respect for late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., because he didn't believe in violence, just like JESUS. God doesn't see skin color, he sees what's in your heart and what you do. God Bless
This was THE MAN! And he is absolutely right! Black people must be proud because they are wonderful people! I am a white and I'm married with a black lady and she and her family are amazing people! I have a son who is black and one of the things I taught him is "Son you are black and be proud of that!" Like I said I'm a white and I'm ashamed for what happened with George Floyd in USA
Alright! You say it, Martin Luther King! Because, I too am also absolutely 100% black as well and proud of it. Because, black people were created to be beautiful and do amazing things for other people to 💘, respect, 🎖, appreciating and treating them fairly for making the 🌎 a better place!
Thank you Dr. King for reminding us that we must continue to break barriers Voting, Proud of Race and helping us get thru the tough times. Black, Brown and Beautiful!!!
My beautiful one, Black and PROUD ✊🏾, I too wish that Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr was NOT assassinated on April 4, 1968 and I too wish he were ALIVE at 95 years old, as so many others do, especially his children. I was only seven when he was assassinated and I was in such SHOCK that day...yet something was BORN in my that day...I could no LONGER look at the world in the fantasy way I was told about. I had to let GO of all the LIES that I was raised in. I had to FACE how horrible, bitterly unfair, racist, misogynistic, cruel, hypocritical, greedy, selfish, lying, deceptive and EXTREMELY VIOLENT this Nation is and this world is. I had to develop a BELIEF system and STAND UP for it, or my life would be in VAIN. So when Dr King Jr died, his DREAM lived in ME. ETERNAL LIFE was introduced to me so young. The WISDOM of the Ancients and Ancestors became VITAL. I had to FACE terrorism, because it was coming for me no matter what I did to avoid it. It was even inside of me. That is how we become our own LEADERS. It takes so much COURAGE to become a leader in such VIOLENCE. We need LOVE to build that COURAGE. so keep LOVING who you are. PROTECT yourself inside and out from HATE and FEAR! You will find your inner Rev Dr Martin Luther King jr! Did you know he tackled FEAR as a student long before he became a Leader?? Resolve your issues with FEAR each day and what what happens! I send you so much LOVE for your journey!
Yes everything that martin lurther King says is true and turns to gold yes of course black is beautiful and powerful no shame in being black I say stand up tall and walk tall with head held high nowing that black is more beuuiful then Whites and don't let anyone or anything let you change your mind
That is absolutely true Victor. After meeting with Elijah Muhammad Dr. King's speeches changed dramatically. I sometimes wonder if this is why he was killed.
Martin, and Malcolm had the backing of most of the Kings and Queens of Afrika and the oil barons of the middle east. If the were alive they would have a stronghold on the petrolium trade.
We are Sooo Proud of You; Dr. Martin Luther King; Jr!!! I Know Mrs. King and Your Youngest Son, Dexter; just joined You and Mrs. King; As Well... Please Know; Yout Legacy Will Live On, And We All Cannot Express; Enough, How Much We Love You All ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤, And So Very Proud, We All Are, Of You... Enjoy Walking Around Heaven....
Black is Beautiful “I am black, but comely” “because the sun hath looked upon me” “The song of songs, which is Solomon's. Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine. Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee. Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee. I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon. Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept. Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions? If thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherds' tents. I have compared thee, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharaoh's chariots. Thy cheeks are comely with rows of jewels, thy neck with chains of gold. We will make thee borders of gold with studs of silver. While the king sitteth at his table, my spikenard sendeth forth the smell thereof. A bundle of myrrh is my wellbeloved unto me; he shall lie all night betwixt my breasts. My beloved is unto me as a cluster of camphire in the vineyards of En-gedi. Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes. Behold, thou art fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed is green. The beams of our house are cedar, and our rafters of fir.” Song of Solomon 1:1-17 KJV “my beloved” = messianic reference to the “beloved Son,” Jesus Christ “And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:16-17 KJV
With this inspirational way of thinking we can do anything together and we should all feel proud of who we are. Black is beautiful. It always has been and the world doesn’t work without all of us.
Extremely outstanding speech I ever listen, Sir Martin Luther king didn't beg the respect for being black but he created respect for himself and for afro american community as well. The way he addressed his community and nation shakes us. He made us understand until we would not respect ourselves no one respect us; not any law make us equal to others moreover he changed the definition of beauty. Beauty doesn't lie in external appearance, it lies within so we should be proud irrespective of any complexion.
