Thanks sooo much for this video. I started doing what you recommend after 5 weeks of surgery. In only four days my eyelid went back to a normal position. I actually placed the paper tape for most of the daytime and through the entire nights. Only took it off for a couple hours in the mornings and evenings to apply moisturizer. You’ve no idea how much you’ve helped me emotionally. Thanks so much!

I have scar line under one of my eyes after lower Blepharoplasty, post 6 weeks, this is super informational, will try. What is really bothersome is a bump (seroma) (?) at the end of suture line that my surgeon still does not want to address, so stressful!! Thank you

Thank you so much for making this video. It is immensely helpful! I had upper and lower Bleph 2 weeks ago and my left eye is showing some signs of ectropion. I have been following your indications and was wondering if it would help rehabilitation of the ectropion to leave the tape on during the daytime as well at during nighttime?

Thank you for the informative video! I understand the “hold” technique is to be performed at least 3 times a day and held for 1 minute. With the “massage and hold” technique, can you tell us how long to hold in place and how many repetitions to perform? Thank you!

Thank you very much for the video, I had chemosis post blepharoplasty causing a retraction and laxity of the lower eyelid. I'm doing the message and the taping as recommended. It seems that it's working for both issues. Does it make sense?

This video was heaven sent for me. I’m 5 weeks post upper and lower bleph and had severe edema on my lower left eyelid and went back under so doc could express the fluid. I still have the lump there and drooping issues. I look like I have a glass eye because nothing moves on the lower eyelid. Doc said it looks so much better than my severe edema and to give it time with massage but I’m so worried it’s permanent and one eye looks just awful and frankly scary!

@daniellequinn9378
@daniellequinn9378 Год назад
@@arlokkkk it’s ALMOST normal. I’ll be one year post bleph February 24. I still have some swelling but it’s normal. So crazy that a surgery that has an easy recovery takes about a full year to actually “recover from.” My left eye is still a little different than my right but much better now than it was when I posted my comment. I’m still hopeful. 3-4 weeks post bleph? You have a long way to go. Try not to stress because it’ll probably be just fine! Good luck!

@@daniellequinn9378 thanks for the reply! I was getting stressed every time I looked in the mirror. I’m worried about the muscle that is responsible to make the upper lid open got damaged from surgery.

Thanks for the video. I have ectroprion in one eye and have been taping. How long should I be taping? You mention being diligent and that it can take a year for ectroprion to resolve. Does that also mean taping the eye for a year too? And do you also mean massaging for a year as well if needed? I am assuming that the time frame would be as long as the ectroprion is evident.
@FaceliftExpert
@FaceliftExpert 2 года назад
Yes, that is correct. I have had patients massage for up to 1 year and with these measures most cases resolve and do not require surgical intervention.

Have you seen this situation before and what do you recommend me to do? Doctor says that it will take about 3 months to go back to normal but I think its not getting better and I'm very worried now. Hi Sumaya, I find that massage helps as early as 2 weeks after surgery. However, this is only meant for educational purposes and should not be taken as advice. I would check with your surgeon regarding the best time to start with these massages.

I'm 3.5 weeks post op upper and lower and it seems as if there is a complication. One eye is significantly swollen while the other is not and it won't close. I'm moisturizing as directed and decided to patch on my own after the first week. I asked his nurse if I should tape and she said I could. Honestly, it bothers me I have to think of my own solutions and have never heard back from the doctor. I also have scars that extend further than the lid. When can I start the massage technique to help the lids descend? In your opinion should I already be looking for another plastic surgeon to care for my eyes and at what point post surgery should I become seriously concerned? Thanks
@arlokkkk
@arlokkkk Год назад
I'm also in the 3.5 weeks post op upper and lower. How are your eyes after all this time? What did you do and did you go after another surgeon. I think I had a complication too on my upper left eyelid. It's swollen and I have a dropy eye now(Ptosis). I'm also sad about them not giving attention after surgery. I have to keep messaging and asking stuff and all they say is that it's normal and to give it time but I'm worried about this ptosis to be permanent. Please let me know when you get a chance. Thanks!

@FaceliftExpert
@FaceliftExpert 2 года назад
Hi Karen, this is usually most effective in the first 3-6 months and the effectiveness decreases the farther out from surgery. However, persistent edema after surgery can be related to underlying inflammation and a discussion with a nutritionist or functional medicine doctor could be helpful.
