The 1461 is an amazing shoes and definitely worth going through the discomfort in the beginning

well the new ones are usually produced in china/vietnam not in GB anymore, thus quality isn’t the same anymore. still worth to buy them since the price is way lower now as well

​@@overexplainer151 In my opinion docs still have great quality, although I can"t compare to made in england DM. I bought my first 1460 in 2013 and I wear them every day for every fall/winter (approximately 6 months every year). They were made propably in Vietnam and survived 3 days of Woodstock where they literally were swimming in mud, couple of crazy punk rock concerts, kilometers of walking and every day use. First two years I didn't care about them at all. After eight years they still look great, even cooler then new one I think they will probably survive 2-4 more years so for me the quality is amazing. I have never had a pair of shoes for so long. (BTW sorry for my english, I use it ocasionally and I forgot a lot)

Hello Jeremiah! Hm I would personally recommend always trying it out in person but from my own personal experience, I would go true to size. My true size is about 8-8.5 and the Doc Marten size 8 fits perfectly for me. My feet aren't that wide at all either. If i were to go a full size down, it would be way too tight on me.

Thank you so much for watching! I personally am a size 9 and wearing a size 9 for these shoes feel a bit roomy! Doctor Martens recommends sizing down so if he is a 9.5, i would personally go for a size 9. But as always, it's best to try them on before purchasing :D

Hello Phil! I think we're pretty similar as I normally wear 9 for my shoes. I just tried on the 1461's right now to give you a more accurate answer and I think it would be safe to say to go with size 9. Downsizing to 8 would be way too tight

@@wespae Did you mean size 9 in UK or US? I ordered a pair of UK 8/ US 9 and I normally wear size 9 US.

The original 1461 smooth leather Oxford har brown leather lining, so I think it could be the 1461 BEX, or ambassador leather, og vegan maybe

yes it really does dig in and takes some time to get used to. When it would hurt, I would try taping a bandage around the area before putting socks on and it would help a little bit. How are you liking the pair so far?

@@wespae I like them so far minus the stiff heel ! I’m going back to school Monday so we’ll see how that lasts through 1h driving +full day of class

Hello! Thank you for watching and the 1460s are beautiful To be honest it’s tough to find an alternative compared to the Doc Martens silhouette / brand / price :) Other brands are relatively similar or more pricier!

It’s always best to try them on in person , but for comfort , I would personally go for a size 11. I’m usually a size 8.5- 9 and a size 9 fits JUST right

Hello Thank you for watching! From my experience, i've had a good experience even in the summer heat! It all depends on how long you will be wearing it out for and the humidity of the weather. Once you have gotten accustomed to the shoes, it will hold up fine in the summer heat since the shoe is comfortable to wear. I personally have not had any experience with the shoes getting hot inside

Hello! If you are a size 7 for Converse, a size 7 would work as well for the Doc Martens! This works well for me since i wear both size 9 for Converse and the Doc Martens

Hello! to be honest I haven't been the best at cleaning them. I would usually just use a good shoe brush to clean off dusts, But i did hear good things about Wonder Balsam. I'm definitely planning to get one for myself

Thank you for watching ! For my experience and my feet shape, these Docs are true to size for me and Dr. Martens is generally true to size for most. I wear size 9 comfortably, and size 9 for these shoes fit pretty good

@Ricardo Vega As long as you wearing the right size for you and place your heels properly, there shouldn't be issues with heel slips :D

I make sure to use shoe horn, and use leather conditioning to the shoes as needed to make sure I preserve the shoes :D

I was trying to reply to your other comment on the older Doc Marten video but couldn't find it for some reason but to answer your question my height is 5'10! I usually wear 9 1/2 as well for my other shoes and for the Docs I wear a size 9 and there's still enough room where it's comfortable. I would always recommend trying it on still before committing to a size

It depends on the outfit, weather and occasion! Since these are very versatile, I like to dress them up randomly with casual outfits, especially just a normal day with normal outfit :D

My parents bought these for me as school shoes when I was a child, many many years ago. They quite literally did cut up my heels as he describes and I had to stop wearing them
