Dr. Martens 1460 PASCAL BEX Opening Review
I finally got a pair of Pascal Bex 1460s and they surpass my expectations dramatically. I explain a few differences in sole thickness and express why this is the perfect all-around size or style. Just let me know your thoughts and if any questions. I added longer laces to wrap around the ankles in order to break them in without causing any blisters and they are doing great. Worth every penny. The Pascal leather is so much nicer than the smooth in my opinion. Check them out at a local mall if you can. Like and Sub for more. Thanks.

@@sandyny If you buy some mink oil liquid and apply it all over the leather and on the inside where the heel goes as well over night for a few days will break in much quicker. It did take a good month to break mine in though

I'am still hesitating between these 1460 Bex with a matte leather or the vintage model "made in England". I will choose in the flagship store in Paris when trying them on ! The vintage model is nice but the leather is tainted only on the surface and when you scratch your boots, you have to put some polish to keep the color ! but I think that the quality is much better than the ones made in China, or Thailand .....

The Bex are made in Vietnam which is very good quality. I was very impressed with the quality of this pair. I used a leather conditioner 7 or 8 times over night then polished the hell out of them once with a good black polish just to give a glow and they look way better and handle dirt, scuffs very well with a wipe here and there. I think you will see the quality is there but trying on in person is going to be your best bet for sure.

@@ayumelove It wouldnt hurt but honestly if you get the correct size it's not necessary. It will help break them in but the bex leather isn't too thick anyways. I just needed to because mine were a size too small

Trying to decide between these and the regular smooth leather bex. You prefer one over the other? Also do these fit the same as the regular 1460? I’m an 11 in every other pair never tried these tho

Sorry for the late reply. These fit small so go up one size but you won't regret these. Way better than smooth in my opinion. The smooth are cool once you break them in but these are cool and seem broken in when new and the leather is much thinner. They have a cool antique feel.

Hi, sir. Great boot. I notice you replied others comment about the sizing. Is it fit small cause you need to add other insert?

Even if you don't add insert this boot fits too small. I would get them 2 sizes up from your normal if you plan on adding a cushion.

It’s messed up because I didn’t know no better a couple of months ago and ordered Jadon’s thinking they were Bex. I didn’t return them in time and now I literally walk around looking like I have a height complication 😂

LMAO that's hilarious! I can see how that happened. Hey I think the Jadon's are pretty cool though just have to be extra confident when you wear them hahah but any time I see somebody wearing them I think good for them they must not give a F what people think hahah. I would wear them though screw it. Imagine stomping a watermelon in those bad boys. Somebody needs to make a RU-vid video of that

But the other day I was in a McDonalds line and a girl in front of me turned around, looked at my shoes and told me “WOW you’re Brave”. I’m starting to think that those skinny jeans I wore when I’m not all that skinny didn’t help my case.

Hows the fit?... I'm usually a size 10 but I keep hearing about breaking in period. Do you recommend sizing up or sticking with a 10?

In the Bex (This exact model) I wish I got an 11. I am just now breaking them in because I added a tiny cushion insert soles which took over room in the boots. I have had to stuff shirts in them over night every night. I wear them everyday for 8+ hour standing shifts lol. Now they fit snug but I wish I had room for a tiny bit bigger insert soles. They are now comfy overall but I would highly recommend leaning towards one size up in this case as I had to beat the crap out of my feat in the process. Sorry for late response.

Oh and forgot to mention this pair fits a tiny bit narrow. Of course stretching them out eventually fixed this and now they fit like gloves. If you can try in person and the smaller size doesnt hurt your feet in an hour you are good to go.

did it fit you well? I'm usually 9.5 and don't know if ordering a 9 would be suitable for me. How precise are the sizing table from doc Martens?

Go for the 10. I usually wear a 10.5 and went with the 10 and they were way too tight for me. Took like a year to break them in and I wish I got the 11 lol

Sry for late response. if you normally wear American size 10.5 You should go for size 11 or even 12 in this pair. Keep in mind they don't make half sizes for these boots.
