I just found your video. I came across a pet parent who claims that Dr. Marty’s food has been changed and that her dog won’t eat it now. Can you tell me if that is true and I also heard that he sold his company but I can’t find that out. Do you know if he has changed his recipe? I like what I’m reading about Dr. Harvey’s food, do you recommend the beef and chicken recipe? Thank you very much, Lynn
You just said that they change the packaging, isn’t that a smoke screen, as I said in my other comment a pet parent said her dog won’t eat the new packaging formula, because she says they changed the recipe. Can you verify that I find this disturbing. Thank you, Lynn .
Do you find that the serving size you get from the 16oz bag is worth the price? I have a 20lb dog considering switching but unsure if it would be cost effective.

My daughter is a first year school teacher so you can imagine her salary but she is paying for this food because she knows you can either pay for a good quality food or you could pay for many visits to the vet so what I’m saying yes it is worth it but don’t buy just one bag by three bags to get the discount and you can get on a recurring delivery and you can cancel at any time
Hi Paula, if we lived in the same town, we would be friends. We are similar age, both have two residences/vacation home, both gave up work to be at home moms raising our kids in the 90s (I have two adult kids) and both of us are very interested in canine nutrition and have transferred our motherly doting onto our dogs now that our kids are adults. Also, sadly, we both have that cloud of worry over our adult daughters concerning cancer. Anyway, I will probably set up a consult with you as I would like to discuss a lot of details with you about home cooking for dogs. I am compiling a list of questions. I have been researching food, cooking for my dogs, also feeding raw and questioning the status quo of the American Veterinary Medical Association for 17 years (I got my first dog at age 40 and started researching and unfortunately, made a lot of mistakes with him that haunt me. He died 2.5 years ago of a spleen hemangiosarcoma at age 14.5). Always more to learn!
Very good question! It does has the kelp but yes I would most definitely suggest to add an oil. Just like I eat salmon and eat other foods with Omega 3s but I also take a Omega 3 supplement. IT is extremely beneficial for your dog the heart and brain. If you want to add a coconut oil, I would do a MCT3 oil but I like to rotate my oils between MCT3, Extra Virgin single source oil and a human or pharmaceutical grade fish oil. I think Iceland Pure Salmon oil is the best on the market.
I have seen video's on Dr Smarty's products and most of them say his product is very very expensive and not very nutritional - and is over rated. He has massive advertising. I always find those products with the most advertising are not as good as those with less advertising. However this is freeze-dried so that is probably a better product. I get freeze dried product from Australia here in Canada. It is expensive but worth it. I would have to see a lot of reviews saying anything from Dr Marty is good before I would trust him with one penny.
Hi Paula, I have started to give my dog almost 1 year old dr Marty's food. She is extremely picky and will not eat anything cooked or raw. Should we add anything to this dog food if this is all I'm feeding? Also we found another brand called carna4 would you do a review of this as well?
Dr Martys claims it is a complete food. I would definitely add clean filtered water to it and NOT offer it dry and you can also add bone broth instead of water. Let the food sit in the warm water for three minutes, I also would recommend mashing it with a fork as it rehydrates. Hi just wanted to ask you if you received a card in your order or Dr Marty’s dog food stating that the food causes cancer? I’ve read several messages stating that! And I’m extremely concerned because I just ordered a bag for my dog and now I’m afraid to feed him the food
I do not know where on earth you got this totally FAKE information. Dr Marty is all about feeding your dog REAL food and cancer prevention. He does NOT even have synthetic vitamins in his food because all the nutrients are from REAL FOOD. I would feed my own dog this food and I would NEVER EVER indorse a products that I would not give my own dog. IF you want to talk about what dog foods are causing cancers in many dogs, lets talk KIBBLE, where there are artificial and natural flavors that can be up to 200 chemicals, kibble also contains CARRAGEENAN which is a known carcinogen (causes cancer), kibble is LOADED with CARBS because it is cheap and carbs cause INFLAMMATION which is a precursor to disease, KIBBLE is loaded with grains that in the USA are highly sprayed with GLYSOPHATE manufactured-by Monsanto now Bayer Corp)causes CANCER and they have been sued BILLIONS of $$$$ in lawsuits. I could go on and on how kibble causes cancer but on my channel I ask that my followers view my videos and do their own research and I highly recommend that you do you own research. NO FAKE NEWS ON MY ACCOUNT.

@@gloriaanntirado9186 The only difference from the old packaging to the new packaging that I could see it went from Pea Flour to Pea Protein (or the other way around), ALL other ingredients were in the SAME order from old packaging to new packaging. All I can think of IF there really was a card in the dogfood stating it may cause cancer is the fact that this dog food is made in Woodland Hills California and in California there is Proposition 65 that requires all businesses to provide warnings about exposure to chemicals that are released in the environment. The list per Prop 65 includes a wide range of NATURALLY OCCURRING chemicals that can cause cancer INCLUDING FOOD. This is me thinking: Dr Martys food include real vegetables (that you and I eat) and all vegtables in the USA are sprayed with pesticides (even organic veggies are spray)…. that may be why the card is supposedly in the bag. Did you hear this week that Consumer reports just did testing on 27 brands of dark chocolate including Hershey’s and Trade Joes Fair Trade Dark Chocolate among others and they ALL include potentially dangerous amount of heavy metals including lead and cadmium. Just eating ONE OUNCE a day would put an adult over the safe amount and eating this toxic chocolate over time can cause developmental and brain problems in young children. If you buy items on Amazon like a tv, a mattress or basically anything their is that message that comes with the product that it can cause cancer (because of Prob 65). There are zero ingredients in Dr Martys food that will cause cancer. If you are concerned with Dr Martys food (which you should not be) then please consider home cooking for your dog. I have been home cooking for 13 years so I can have total control of each and every ingredient my dog consumes and STILL I have concerns with the type of egg, the quality of meat etc. Let me know if you want a consult with me to learn how to home cook for your dog. The only issue I have with Dr Martys is their customer service, I was on hold for like 20 minutes to ask them a question about their dog food.
My dog Bear is like my son! I’m extremely protective over him and everything I give him. From his toys, snacks and food. I gave him kibble when he was a puppy because that is what his vet told me to feed him. Then he was very itchy, had hot spots and I was extremely concerned. I started to investigate anything to do with what I was feeding my Bear. And just as you said kibble is horrible! I started feeding him raw food. Well the instinct food bran, fresh food one, and eventually started making him his food. Unfortunately Bear is extremely picky and love the food for a while but then he just doesn’t want any part of it. So I was extremely excited to come across Dr. Marty’s. It just scared me to find the comments on the causing cancer. My Bear is 9 and I just want the best for him. We dehydrate deer meat and give him that for a snack. We give him apples,blueberries, carrots. I care and love my Bear and only want to feed him something healthy and that won’t hurt him in anyway. He is allergic to chicken, turkey. And I want to give him a healthy long happy life.
@@gloriaanntirado9186 I understand everything you are saying. My dog is my everything including the reason for getting up in the morning. Again, Dr Martys food is 100% good! If you consider again home cooking, I would recommend using a food processor so your dog won’t detect the food he does not like and you will add sardines and liver which is very enticing to a dog.
